  • the smoke pat i didnt like... but i dont think they burn fields..they harvest them

  • The brasilians are better off doing this , than being in war in the middle east 365 days a year like us North americans ......

  • Either Brazil or USA could benefit of growing SWEET SORGHUM ,ready to be cropped in 4-6 months and consumes less water than corn or sugarcane It could multiply both countries production of ETHANOL by 10 ,making a real impact into clean fuel consumption

  • 80% now in the year 2010 are using machines instead of men,,,

  • oohhh poor workers, better bomb childrens heads all over the middle east...

  • Wow that's short sighted.

    Should be retitled:

  • Thats what America should also do: Drilling offshore should be less dangerous than a war for oil. There are other so many ways to produce other types of energy and its in great part american technologies. New England has more sunshine than Brazil, especially during the Fall, believe it or not.

  • re: ElFeliciano

US has 3% of the world's oil reserves and consumes 25% of the oil.

And a massive majority of the offshore drilling sites are already open via a 2006 law anyways.

What'd be less dangerous than warfare is taking advantage of electricity.

  • Brazilian cities gain the most sunshine in the world, the northeast of the US is quite beautiful, but nowhere close to the amount of sunshine in Sao Paulo or Rio.

  • @ELFELICIANO

I suppose you wont back up those words now, after the offshore accidents in the Gulf of Mexico...
