im from santa barbara and the skim here is alright but its mostly a surfing town and most of the spots are surfing spots so you only really skim them on a bad surfing day. i wish we had actual skimming beaches like this in aliso

They did a pretty good job, day 1 had good waves for pros, buttt it is a competition with different groups that they all have to finish up in 2 days so its bound to have a couple pro heats with bad waves
