This is not "polish" truth , as you maybe noticed , I gave you to check english not polish page in wikipedia. Those information what you have it's probably a manipulation. It's a public knowlege that in the beggining of 90's Gorbatchev commanded some historians to study incidents of that war in order to find "anti-Katyń". I see they were succesful.

Why noone tried to find them ? You said we were allies , but what about period beetwen 17 IX 1939 - 22 VI 1941 ? Russia occupied half of Poland then and we were not "allies" yet - finding clues of so huge crime could be a great excuse for invasion on Poland in 17 IX 1939. Why Soviet didn't do that ?

Body are in graves. In Poland, Belarus and Ukraine are the cemetery, where the Red Army soldiers are buried. Very often, the dead soldiers were buried en masse in the trenches and unmarked. Find these burials is extremely difficult. The Soviet Union invaded eastern Poland because he did not want to give Western Ukraine and Western Belorussia, which had been occupied Poland in 1920, to Nazi Germany. Most Russians don't REALIZE how close they were to losing WW2 and the only reason they are not speaking JAPANESE and GERMAN today is because of Hitlers stupidity. Japanese soldiers were ALREADY lined up at the boarders of Eastern Russia, not knowing there were absolutely NO Soviet troops on the other side of the boarder. Do not talk nonsense. During the existence of the gulag from 1930 to 1956 died of 1.6 million prisoners. 2 / 3 of prisoners died in 4 years WWII. Many prisoners were killed in the fighting against the Nazis, and the rest died from disease and hunger, of old age. In peacetime deaths in the gulag was lower than in the USSR.

Maybe be you do not know that in 1990 the Kremlin has admitted that 1,803 Polish officers were shot in the USSR? These "people" were responsible for the deaths of 80,000 Soviet prisoners of concentration camps in Poland in 1920-1921. Unfortunately, not all war criminals were caught and punished, some of them fled to London.

Thanks to them Hitler used 1,5 milion Czechoslovakian soldiers to conquer Poland and Ukraine , and 1/3 of tanks in france were from CZ. If thez didnt sell us to him for their peace (of 1 year) he would fight against Czechoslovakia, without help the Czechoslovakia would fall but Hitler's casualties would be so enormous..

I wonder was it the "border" before or after October 17 1939? You know that the prisoners were paid in the Gulag camps. If they implement a work plan, they will receive cash awards. Many prisoners forwarded their salaries to their relatives to freedom by mail. Say the same thing has been to Dachau, Auschwitz, Birkenau, Bergen-Belsen, and so on? Tell me, what was the mortality rate in these camps of death?

20.000.000 men/women died in the the soviet system, millions in these camps. Only from Hungary 600.000 men/women were taken in the gulag camps after WWII. Innocent victims of comunism and stalinism.
It's time to show to the whole world that Auschwitz is not the only shame of the 20th century.

Witold Gliński (* 1925 - +1983) from Poland was the archetype of main character in this story. He organised the escape from gułag in Siberia and walked 6000 km on foot with his comrades toward India via Siberia, Gobi desert and Himalaya Mountains.
Regretfully Polish episodes are unjustly diminished in this movie.
Shame on you, Hollywood.

it is true story based find a story about Witold Gliński who was polish oficer. He and few his friend escape from soviet work camp in syberia to Kalkuta in India 1941. Search this .wloczykij. this "walk" is commemoration of this event. Long Walk Plus Expedition - find this on You Tube. This guy is a hero for me.
