There is no need to apologize for the somewhat salty language in your Christmas Story. Used correctly, it can add force to a dialogue and greatly enrich a character. Besides, it simply isn't believable that a street-punk would say something like "Darn you Benny, you little rascal! I've gone and had a poo in my trousers because of you!" (cont'd)

Peter, the language tells the story, it colours the intent and mood, it drives home the themes and points, it is the tapestry on which the story is woven. Your story paints a very sharp "lesson" in life. Something is LEARNED!

There is no need to apologize. You made it perfectly clear in your last video that people who disapprove of the use of profanities shouldn't watch and that it was your characters language and not yours, a guy living on the street doesn't exactly say "oh, fudge"...

I can see no problem with the video you made, you made it very clear that there was language in it and that it was necessary as part of the story. If they don't agree with the language they shouldn't have watched it, I mean I do not swear yet I was not offended.

i think everybody knows those "bad words" and they don't make anybody disrespect you, not even the younger Kids. the older people care a lot more actually. I think in stories it is just part of the poetry.

Your story was great; describing the reality as raw and unfair as it is. People who can't face the fact that your story underlined must think that the News, newspapers, television, radio, are offensive and inappropriate.

Peter, your stories are awesome. Don't take it down. Regret doesn't seem like the right feeling. Some kids and parents are more sensitive than others. The only thing you need to do is put up a stronger disclaimer next time.

The people who told you to take the video down were idiots, the story was not a mistake, the story opens peoples eyes to the fact that we are not all sitting beside the fire with cups of hot chocolate at Christmas. 'Keeping it real' would be a phrase I would refer to.

It is sad to think that there are people unprepared to see that the world is not all clean and sanitized for their protection. If they can't bear to hear about the nastiness of real life (even as innoculously presented in your story), they should lock themselves in their homes and avoid parting the net curtains at all costs.
