@greenwich1754 Prior to Rick and Billy joining, FM employed a second guitarist- as well as other musicians - when touring because many of their songs have two guitar parts (lead and rhythm) that Lindsey recorded in the studio so a 2nd player was required for concerts. Little Lies and Hold Me are terrible live. On record, they are carried by slick production and synthetic harmonies.

I saw this tour in San Diego and Stevie was definitely into it that night. There was so much energy coming off the stage everyone was blown away. The review in the SD newspaper said that they felt they needed two people to replace Lindsey. I saw them again in San Jose about 15 years later with Christie missing. The chemistry was still incredible. I just wish once I could see them all together and throw in Bob Welch and that would be a night.

I get the feeling that Stevie was not into it as much without Lindsey. That adds up, since Stevie has said before, that the group is not the same without Lindsey Buckingham. And that is understandable. All the others in this group seem very into the song and they do a very good version of it. Christine is beautiful, and she makes this one rock.

Fleetwood Mac is one of my top 5 favorite bands -- they are almost always better live -- yet this is a horrific performance. Lindsay is absent, Stevie is barely singing, and Christine, John and Mick seem utterly demoralized. Compare this to "The Dance" and it's like night and day.
