nothing i love more then seeing my fellow Airmen running with the Rangers, hooah. Now if we can just get AFPC to allow us to wear the tabs we'll be in good shape
@utnone1 you do understand going to ranger school does not make you part of the 75th ranger regiment right.? going to ranger school does not mean becoming an army ranger
@blinky123abc Thats the Aussie Special Forces Group. This is a special operations group, NOT Special Forces. You want to look them up. Their Called Greenies. More Commonly known as "Green Berets".
I have a question: someone told me foreign soldiers (in my case Royal Netherlands Army) were allowed to attend ranger school. does anybody know wether that's true?
@Houselistener64 Went i was in we have people from my unit that attended Ranger School and they inform me that there are foreign national that was there also, but what country they from i didn't ask but yes there were none U.S military personnel that attend Ranger school.
@NathanEG217 Sorry to be a dick but your friend is wrong to be a recon marine you have to go through ranger school and jump school army rangers and recon marines are the same thing. sorry but your buddy is a joke
Damn, I can't wait to join the Rangers. I'm good at Call of Duty so I should have no problem in earning the Ranger title. How do I join? I think I'll be a great asset.
@Ihateopp thank you for you service and not to get corny but semper fi marine. im currently attending college and doing navy rotc. training for bud/s in 3 years
@icewizforlife yeah right, FACT:SEAL get three all you can eat meal a day and they get night and weekend off to rest during their six month long to become a SEAL.
@d8654474 Well considering I am an OIF vet from the army I can tell you what they learn is much more than what infantry learns in boot or BCT. If seals was as easy as you possibly think it is they wouldn't have the high drop out rate like they do. Take SF selection for example, these guys also go through a hell week and some of the toughest guys I knew in the service couldn't pass it. SF selection is even harder because it is selection and passing doesn't mean acceptance.
@flatblackstrat i agree would you that it hard no doubt but i have a hard time buying that they have the toughest training in the world. i believe they are about the same difficulty to get in as Army Ranger (75th) difficulty in a difference way and of course once they finished bud they get more advance training but every elite does the same thing non-stop training.
@flatblackstrat one of reason i believe that high fail rate it because the quality of candidate that try out or the requirement just to try out. Majority no dis-respect to Navy but are graduate from Navy Boot (most would not pass pre-ranger either if they tried out ) and they don't have the assessment phase like Army Ranger or Green Beret. BTW i used to be in the Army also 327 inf reg. FT. Campbell KY.
@d8654474 another interesting point is that i have heard people stating being a SEAL for 20 years (retired) i haven't heard anyone spend 20 years in a Ranger Regiment, i could be wrong i just never heard of it. i would imagine their body (mainly knee) will be Fuck up over 10 years in.
@d8654474 Good stuff man, I had to spend time at Knox while I was in, shitty post though. I can see what you are saying about training but all non selection and non BCT training is like that. You never got to go through AIT but AIT is like that as well. But I suppose if they are supposed to be elite you would think they would have 5 to 9 training and no weekends.
Respond to this video... all i'm saying is when they made a statement like it take 6 month training to become a SEAL is somewhat mis-leading. that like saying it take take 4 years to become a Ranger because if you with the 75th for 4 years you have to prove yourself constantly to stay in and training are also brutal. in their six month training they get more time off to rest, sleep and eat basically almost normal work hours. it difficult a big YES. most difficult i don't think so.
@d8654474 BUD/S is a 6 month gut check during which 8-5 is routine but there are many periods of time where it is NOT admin/routine, the most famous of course is hell week, but there are many other evolutions out on San Clemente island etc. After BUD/S comes CQT (advanced training at the Team) and a nonstop training regimen once in the teams which includes many more military schools. Rangers= conventional support for SOF missions, SOF= unconventional, bla bla - all are SERIOUS BUSINESS.
@d8654474 i have seen marathon running studs fail out of SEAL training. It wasn't the physical stuff, it was the mental chaos and dealing with constant disappointments and fear that wore them down and prompted them to say "I quit". I watched the sapper training videos where instructors are forcing students through it- you'll never see SEAL or SF instructors doing that- students are most welcome to quit or keep going- it's all up to them.
@maximilian333 well, i'm not trying to say one is better than the other, i was pointing out that it all tough in their own way. again i realized it tough and also understand it mostly mental but to make claim that you have the toughest training in world will bring some criticism. not trying to dis-respect the SEAL just pointing some fact. by chance are you a SEAL?
@d8654474 BUD/S grads do not get their trident. They have to pass 6 more months CQT after that then become a SEAL, and then enter pretty much constant platoon workups. Respect to all: Rangers/SOAR/SF and SWCC/SEALs, each doing their assigned missions better than anyone else can. If you aren't any of the above don't talk about who is better. They are all great.
@d8654474 your right about all that except one thing, they dont get the weekend off. its seven days a week. the only weekend off they get is right after hell week. there is a reason their motto is "the only easy day was yesterday"
@casf120 of course the BUD training is tough but so does trying to get in a Ranger Reg. if Ranger school were 6 month like bud then most would probably die or their body will be F-up permanently.
i start basic on sept. 5th, 2011, and then work my way through the various schools before i get to take my shot at being one of these guys next spring, so wish me luck and send me your prayers, oh world of youtube!

@smellmyclock He said "other special forces" dumbass. Technically, he should have said other special operations forces, but still. You are just being a douchebag so stfu and die or something.

@crazybj003 Oh Big Woop Navy Seals Got Bin Laden He was old as Dirt it not like they were trying to kill him before dude can barly walk all they had to do was find him it was not much of a fight
@goldenscales Soldier is a term that refers to those who serve in the Army (in the US, at least). Those who serve in the Marine Corps are Marines. Calling them "Soldiers" intentionally is considered an insult. Just like those who serve in the Navy are Sailors and those who serve in the Air Force are Airmen. Yes, it might be annoying to make the difference, but it's also a sign of respect.
@goldenscales By the way, I wasn't trying to start a fight, or anything. It's just that my father is a Marine and I will become a Marine later this year, so it means a lot to me.
@TheLogan1156 Sweet as, guy. We all want to be 'special' in our own way, as a means of standing out from the crowd. I was not arguing or belittling your point of view, just expressing an opinion. I'm happy you want to follow someone you are obviously proud of, and I salute you for that. Semper Fi, dude. Make us proud, brother, makes us proud!

@Mojo1982 Yes they are separate organizations. All of them are separate. The simplest way to describe it, would be like this: Delta = C.T. and Special Operations, Green Berets = Force Multipliers and Special Operations and Rangers = Light Infantry and Special Operations.
