  • Honestly, you are the best! I watched the previous videos too and they're so great >_<

  • "The tree is your standard horror movie tree."

  • 5:00 Its the safety dance!

  • Thank you for these. This is the only place where I can watch Siskel and Ebert since their website got shut down.

  • The Chocobo theme really makes this video. Bwahahaha!

  • "Cary Otis is portrayed with the brain power of a pumpkin" LOL

  • "Highlander 2: The Quickening...what a title."

  • We can see how ugly and styleless and hypocritical Ebert is. We can guess at what the nerds are like who stay up all night alone seeking to debate the merits of old shows. Maybe Sparks "drinker" nneds to drink something less potent.

  • @ZarahLean Well, we obviously have nothing on a pathetic troll whose life is so hopelessly bankrupt that he seeks out videos of someone he dislikes to post insults about them.

  • @Dreamline78 I've seen your page and agree with your accessment of yourself

  • @ZarahLean Wow, how sad. You actually look at the things people have favorited and make judgments about them based on that? Well I don't need to see your page at all. Your favorites list could have only videos that discuss the latest breakthroughs in the quest to cure cancer , and you'd still be a dickhead. Peace out.

  • @Dreamline78 LOL

  • Actually, a chainsaw is used against an evil tree in Evil Dead 2...

  • I don't know why but I love Siskel's description of The Guardian. He small laugh just makes it for me

  • 7:46 - :56 I 'know.' 7:53 - 8:44 Hmm.

  • 1:34 - 2:02 That girl and Mac are 'both' good, guys.

  • "Sounds good! Keep talking!"

  • I only laughed at one scene in Freddy Got Fingered and that was the Zebra cartoon, it was stupid as all hell but I laugh my ass off at that one scene and it's the only good thing about that piece of shit.

  • LOL at Ebert's face at 5:03

  • The whole review of Freddy Got Fingered is awesome. That clip is the funniest part, but if it is posted I suggest watching that. There were so many stupid comedies in the Spring of 2001 then 9/11 happened and almost became a crime to smile of laugh in America.

  • I may be 1 of 20 people who actually thought Freddy Got fingered was funny

  • When Ebert kept saying "Highlander 2: The Quickening. What a title!" I couldn't stop laughing.

  • Ebert wants surgery on the script and on the chipmunks vocal cords! Ebert's dry wit never ceases to make me laugh.

  • I'm glad that Roeper and Ebert hated Freddy Git Fingered because I consider it to be the worst film I have ever seen.

  • The first-person part was the best part of Doom. Granted, that's not saying much...

  • they hired a limousine every time they went to the jon.

  • I love how Roger called the chipmunks little beasts!!! LOL

  • Man movies sucked back then too

  • Siskel, Ebert and Roeper to the music of Final Fantasy. I thought I'd never see the day. Ride that chocobo, grasshopper.

  • THE LITTLE BEASTS!!!!

  • Heh heh! I was over three minutes into this before I recognized the Chocobo music.

  • Now I get it... Chainsaws are NEVER seen being used for their intended purpose, only for shredding people to death.

  • Thanks for this one. I been a fan since they were on PBS 35 yrs ago...I acually met Roger standing in line to see Raging Bull in Westwood CA. I was mildly surprised to note that he was gay.

    Keep them coming, Clement!

  • @str8carter . haha funny, but not true. trust me, he is not gay.

  • @SparksDrinker Hey Sparks: You don't know what you are talking about. I met the man. Face to face and we talked. I saw how he walked, how he dressed and how he looked at me. At that time he was gay. I know later that he married a woman. A black woman. Also, like Gore Vidal's Myra Breckenridge, Ebert penned Beyond the Vally of the Dolls. Both were fairly obvious gay movies.

I'm not putting the guy down....I like the man. He can stick his dick anywhere he wants.

  • @str8carter . we may be arguing semantics. he is attracted to women and has had multiple physical relationships with women. you say he appeared gay and looked at you like a gay man when you met him. maybe true maybe not, either way he's either straight or bi or bi-curious or sexually ambiguous, but not gay.

  • @str8carter HAHAHA!!! Roger Ebert is a married man and has been for years. He has always been into women, and he'll even give thumbs up to certain movies because he thinks the chick in the movie is hot. Check your facts before you post. You can't always tell that someone is gay by the way he walks or talks, and as far as "how he looked at you," you obvioulsy came to your own conclusions about the man, so your own prejudice played a part in how you interpreted the way he "looked at you."

  • @nevskislake Yeah, he might look like an elderly lesbian, but the man loves titties.

  • The music you put into these videos just keep getting more epic.

  • 5:03 Ebert moves sort of like a chimp

  • Comment removed

  • "The Quickening" sounds like like a chocolate drink mix.

  • The show ends this weekend!!!! Loved every episode from the ones on television to the final ones on the internet on "at the movies"......No homo but for some reason I wished I could've seen Ebert's fat penis...it probably smelled like popcorn..best reviewer of all time!!

  • 3:50, Joke Fail

  • Ebert should have appeared on Mystery Science Theater, because he is so witty and has such a talent for condemning bad movies. He will always be my favorite movie critic.

  • Did you know Don Bluth animated The Chipmunk Movie and was uncredited for it?

  • haha epic fail for roger's tree joke

  • These compilations are WONDERFUL!!!!!! Thank you!!!!!!

  • Just checked the little girl's info on imdb. Guess they really did kill her career right there.

  • "this movie stinks, it is an entertainment free dead zone "

    ebert's great

  • This is a great series! Thanks for posting!

  • your clips are great, your background music, not so much. Its too zany!

  • I find it funny that he says here that Spice World is the worst movie of 1998,but later he calls Armageddon the worst film of 1998.

  • @dih70 that's because he called Spice World the worst film of 1998, but it was the first show of 1998. He just saw a film worst.

  • "Why is Tom Green getting movies and WHO wants to see this guy??"

  • I have to disagree with these guys, I'll never forget the time I watched freddy got fingered when I was 12. You really have to be in a juvenile mindset to enjoy that type of humor.

  • LMAO..."in which the little beasts sing"...OMG....That is so funny!!!....I love the Chipmunk Adventure!!!

  • I can't believe I'm admitting this but last time I watched it I liked...(sigh)...Freddy Got Fingered.

  • "I don't wanna be a hero. i just wanna matter." That was great XD

  • Great video! Favorited for the chocobo theme. Siskel is the best!

  • 6:03 LOL!

  • "$34 Million? They must have had a limousine every time they went to the john!"

That is one hilarious line! Love it!

  • Ew, Ebert liked Legally Blonde.

  • 7:52 Pearl "Harbour"

    Holy British people, Batman!!

  • "UNTIL YOUR JUST ABOUT READY TO GO CRAZY." Dead on impression;

  • Freddy Got Fingered is a mastepiece of self indulgent comedy.

  • I like this chocobo music

  • I liked Roper, but Gene & Roger were great together.

  • The punchline to "The Stepfather" left my boxers soaked. Ebert has an unbelieveable comedic timing and I still don't get how the "...a Chainsaw is used against a tree" didn't at least make Siskel giggle a bit.

  • I think that Freddy Got Fingered has got to be the first movie in a long time that I actually couldn't keep watching. Some dormmates had it on in the common area of my college dorm, they asked me to join them and I did. I sat through 20 minutes or so and then got up and they got upset at me. It was sad that I was the only one to see the light. It is kind of like watching Family Guy, I can only watch like 5 minutes and then it is either disgusting and/or not funny and then I turn it off.

  • "Why is Tom Green making movies and who wants to see this guy?" These important questions remain unanswered.

  • thx for posting all these, this is terrific nostalgia

  • Ebert: "It's the first time a chainsaw is using against a tree" ROLFMAO

  • lets kill her career!

  • It didn't take Crossroads for Britney to make me nostalgiac for the Spice Girls.

  • cool, electric de chocobo in the background =)

  • 5:03 Ebert could probably pat his head and rub his belly at the same time.

  • When Roger Ebert said"we can't show you the scene where green Takes a baby and sarts swinging him over his head. i could not stop Laughing. Son nonchalant calm and kinda Monotone.

  • LOL at the transition between 7:52 and 7:53 xD

  • wow, their review of wild orchid at 9:00 could totally be substituted for megan fox and the unholy mess that transformers 2 was

  • agreed.

why do people like Mike Bay movies?

  • haha glad you've seen the light. it's amazing how people will defend whatever that man does in movies. and really, if there does exist a girl as hot as megan fox who would consistantly follow her boyfriend into a robot apocalyptic war, don't you think after a while she would just break up with him? and if there is a girl like that somewhere then send me her address cause i'm stalking that bitch!

  • My father is the absolute worst. He says that loved both Transformers 2 AND Pearl Harbour even though he himself is a rabid War movie buff. Can someone please tell him the truth?

  • @Headbanger142

I hope you can talk some truth into him. Mr. Bay has destroyed movies and people need to know this...

  • "Nostalgic for the Spice Girls!" Ouch, that bad?

  • I think Tom Green really is flipping burgers somewhere now.

  • Oh don't be silly, he's doing an internet podcast that sucks and nobody watches unless it's to make fun of him.

  • lol prolly, but he was pretty damn funny in road trip

  • @jrubin68 We can only hope...

  • @jrubin68 Tom Green doesn't even need to speak to be irritating. That simple look on his face drives me into the garage searching for an axe.

  • @jrubin68 Last I saw, Anonymous was trolling his public-access call-in show HARD. The usual stuff- ordering hundreds of pizzas to his home address, yelling "Fat nigger!" over and over again on the phone, even faking a suicide on webcam. The best part is that he desperately wants to look cool to them, so he doesn't do the smart thing and screen his calls.

  • @jrubin68 1 of the most unfunny people who ever lived.

  • @jrubin68 . i doubt it since he's worth millions.

  • ebert gave away the ending to Crossroads....probably to save us money

  • the younger roger ebert reminds me of don vito.

  • I think secretly Roger Ebert loves video games

  • He just wants them to be better.

  • @KronantheBarbarian Agreed.

  • @KronantheBarbarian oh you know he'd love a red dead movie

  • @KronantheBarbarian Yes he loves video games. :)

  • I love how well edited this series is.

I also love the Chocobo theme from Final Fantasy as the background music!

  • "Let's just ruin her career! She'll probably end up owning this show"!

    Gene is hilarious!

  • "What a title!"

  • The problem with you people is that you want Ben and Ben to replace Siskel/Ebert or Ebert/Roeper.

Here's the problem, they can't replace them. You have to live with it, embrace it, and just move on. Ben and Ben, just like Ebert/Roeper/Siskel have insightful comments on some films. Some of their reviews make you scratch your head..some you agree with. It's the nature of the beast. Even if they can't replace these critics doesn't mean they're terrible.

  • The two of them don't have half the wit that these three have!

The show just seems FORCED now!

  • Forced? It's two guys reviewing movies. Maybe you seem forced when you talk about a film to your friend.

Of course they don't have the wit....you apparently missed the point of my post. They can't replace these 3, they just can't. But it doesn't mean they're terrible.

  • Of course they don't have the wit, because they're not Ebert, Siskel, or Roeper.

It's not forced, it's two people reviewing films. Do you listen to two of your friends and say "wow, you guys seem forced when reviewing your movies!" No, you don't.

  • The conversations seem scripted and read from, it looks as if there's no real spontanious insight! That my friend is why Ben & Ben are boring and tedious!

Watch a compilaiton with Ben & Ben, it'll come with a warning label...Caution: May Cause Narcolepsy!

  • I don't see how it sounds scripted. They're just two guys talking about movies. Now of course, you can tell their show is highly editted the way the camera just cuts them off and moves onto another topic regarding what film they are reviewing...but still, it's two guys talking.

  • Yes LumpAdams all critics base their own opinions and yes the 2 bens have the right to be reveiwers but they are still shit and heres why, they are annoying to watch. The reason why Siskel and Ebert were great was because of their personality and the chemisty they had together, both is lacking in the 2 bens. The 2 bens are all fake tan and whitened glow in dark teeth, they arn't likeable. Who wants vacuous idiots like them telling us what to watch, besides you?

  • I don't let anyone tell me what to watch and neither should you.

  • Siskel, Ebert and Roeper were so good because they gave you a good review, and most importantly,

when they didn't like they movie they still told you enough about it so you could see if you would like the movie

  • The problem with Ben Lyons is that he is so obviously out of his depth. He doesn't actually even SEEM to know anything abut movies. Not all his reviews are shite, but he doesn't come across as a reviewer you can trust.

  • It all depends on what you find good or bad.

  • I managed to watch a few of their recent videos on the Ebertandroeper website, and they obviously don't know shit. They went WAY too easy on Land of the Lost, didn't go into depth with it and didn't even put much criticism into it. And that's the point of being a film critic.

    Critic-Ism!

  • Also 3:10 you know the movie isn't good when you can't describe its basic premise without laughing, haha!

  • 0:48 "MUTANT KILLING MACHINE" rofl, he has a point!

  • Highlander 2: The Quickening...what a title!

  • Siskel didn't laugh, but I for one thought Ebert's chainsaw joke was funny. I laughed aloud.

  • I hate the new At the Movies. Ben L is a phony who once called "I Am Legend" one of the greatest movies ever made and called The Curious Case of Benjamin Button the best movie of the year, which wasn't even one of the top 5 movies of the year. Ben M is boring. I started watching At the Movies after Roger left but I love watching the old reviews because he has such great insight

  • And Roger Ebert gave Van Helsing a thumbs up, Gene Siskel gave Babys Day Out a thumbs up, and Roeper gave What Planet Are You From a thumbs up.

Face it, ALL critics have opinions that you agree with and opinions that make you shake your head. They all have ridiculous reviews and some you like. Get over it.

  • I liked Baby's Day Out too, believe it or not.

  • A lot of people didn't. It's overall an unpopular film and known for being shitty. Of course that doesn't mean you shouldn't like it, I'm just generally stating. All critics like bad movies.

  • the reason why the new show sucks, other than the fact that the two new guys have absolutely no charisma, is that they never disagree or fight or have anything funny to say. cancel the show already!! i'd rather read ebert's chicago sun reviews today anytime over that pig crap

  • I liked Ebert's insightful comment about the Pearl Harbor scene, where real bravery would not be to step forward. It would also make the scene interesting.

  • Ebert speaks with a computer right now; I guess it would still be better than Ben & Ben with their normal voices...

  • Chainsaw against a tree.

    ahahahahahahahaha

  • Yay, FFVII music!

  • 3:59 - 4:03 LOL Ebert is hilarious

  • 'a limousine every time they went to the john'. LOL terrific.

  • The review 4 Highlander 2: The Quickening was the funniest review ever.

  • LOVE Siskel & Ebert...

    Roeper grew on me...

    Ben & Ben= Blah & Blah...

Stick a fork in the show now cuz its DONE!

  • ". . . . the little beasts sing . . ."

That's the Chipmunks in essence. Thank you, Roger.

  • Well, I just was the first minute of the new show as a clip up here on Youtube. I know they never had a steady co-host with Ropert the past few years with the hope that Ebert would regain his voice enough to return. That being said, the people they got were good, and filled the chair well. Ratings are down for the new format, and by watching how bad the opening was, I don't want to watch again.

Richard Roper will reappear in some sort of show soon, or so he says. So, I'll be waiting for that.

  • Let's hope Ebert recovers expediently, and that we see more of Roeper on the TV. Until Ebert recovers, I would LOVE to see Roeper and Phillips in a review show, as they had excellent chemistry and are both wise-cracking, savvy critics.

The new format is abysmal, and thinks that people really care about consolidation of crappy reviews from bloggers and "the public". Mankievicz is okay (though nowhere NEAR decent) but Lyons is a talentless hack that is paid to give good reviews.

  • I can't stand either of the two new critics especially ben mankiewicz. he should stick to tcm

  • What was the name of the Tom Green film they were bashing?

  • "Freddie got Fingered"

  • I hate Tom Green and I'd probably hate that movie.

  • I remember reading ebert's summary of his relationship with siskel: "Hilarity, punctuated by hatred."

  • "An entertainment free dead zone."

doesn't that kinda describe Ben and Ben At the Movies?

  • Are you saying you dont like the new show?

  • Ben and Ben is awful! I want Ebert back!

  • Hear Hear! Ebert created the show, he should have atleast destryoed it when he left then resurrected it when he made a full recovery that we all hope he does. And while he's at it, resurrect Gene Siskel too.

  • "An entertainment free dead zone"

    Owned.

  • Hey!

thanks for using my doom idea

im glad i could be of help!

  • Final Fantasy 7 soundtrack. HAHAHAHA

  • the background music is the best part!

  • i agree. lose the music

  • I don't have any problems with Micheal Phillips. I think he's fine but still, this show isn't as good as it use to be.

  • No, no one is liking the new format. Why can't they cancel that show once and for all? This show has become the death of me. But watching these fun times are always refreshing. These and all the Siskel, Ebert, and Roeper videos on this wonderful site. Keep plugging away, Clement, and the music makes it enjoyable.

  • You should use Ebert's reaction to "The Squeeze" With Michael Keaton. He couldn't even remember seeing the movie.

Don't get me started on Ben Lyons and that other one... just terrible...

  • Thanks for the 4 vids! Awesome compilation! I hope you can find the review for "The Sweetest Thing." ("At The Movies" website doesn't have it available.) Richard Roeper gives one of his best speeches about Cameron Diaz's career.

Keep up the great work! Looking forward to your next vid!

  • great clips..excellent show.

  • "Anyone liking the new format? >_>"

NO! Is that a good enough answer?

  • Awesome. Thanks for the heads up!

  • ClementJ642, you got mentioned in a eFilm Critic article about the new format!

  • Keep 'em comin. nobody cares about ben and jerry or whoever.

  • Pearl Harbor was my idea! "Don't take away my wings!"

  • Might as well call the new format ESPN At The Movies.

  • More please! The new format is AWFUL

  • Hate the new format and hosts

  • Four words about the new format: TWO THUMBS WAY DOWN!!

  • This tribute video on the other hand: Two very ethuastic thumbs up!
