  • @Chloderic Acturlly not many chinses people eat dogs and cats. Among 1.4billion guies, there would exist some guies want to have a taste of that stuff. One evidence for it is dog meat and cat meat can not be bought from the market. Normally some guies go to hunt.

  • Recipe for making double cooked pork. Oil to cover wok and then 3 tsp of sugar, sugar can be put in before or after the meat but turn heat down to medium so that sugar does not burn. Then add pork, soy sauce adjusted to your taste, white wine or beer (the cup's amount), then warm water to soften meat, scallion, 1/2 slice of ginger, pinch of salt after boiling, and then taste to measure saltiness. Adjust salt, sugar, or water to taste.

    1.fry sugar, oil just cover the boiler bottom, heat oil, add sugar into oil, make the sugar melted, fry the sugar into deeper color, but do not make it burnt.

    2.Put pork blocks into the oil sugar, mix them, add chinese soy to make the pork deeper color.

Add hot water(not cool water), the water almost immerge the pork, add green chinese onion, ginger, aniseed(if you have it), mix them, wait for the soup boil, add proper salt and 2 spoons of sugar, turn the fire lower to keep the soup boil.
