  • "Come with me if you want to live, you toys! Blaagh blaaaaaagh!!!!"

    Lmfao!

  • movie sucked, review funny as hell

  • Comment removed

  • my dad said this was dark and not on a kids level

  • 0:10 The ONLY trace of Cyrus EVER crying in a movie, and there's no audio review for it to find out exactly why. Damn it!

  • I don't think they watched this movie. Atleast they didn't pay attention. Perhaps they should watch it again, alone, so as not to distract one another. Cause they were obviously talking and/or snickering instead of listening.

  • I love this movie although it sometimes brings me to tears seeing characters like 5 die :'(

  • So basically, 'Sackboy: The movie"

  • good thoughts over it, but I think that anything lower than a matinee is asking for too much out of it, especially given that short-to-feature film issue. Sure, there's more scenes and plot I wanted because i was that engaged it, yet I don't feel like it let me down. Full Price from me, it was something refreshing too since most CG movies are comedies.

  • these guys suck at movie reviews...

  • @flyassasin1 nah man, I used'ta get the same feeling with Spill, I didn't take them seriously until after I went to the actual site, listened to podcasts, audio reviews (where video reviews come from- condensed versions) THEN I understood that they have good understanding of movies, pop culture etc, the animated reviews aren't always best representor of that as they clown a lot which is mad funny for me, but there's lot's more discussed in audios to equal out. check the site, they grow on ya.

  • better than sex i loved this movie

  • Given more time & money, this would've been better than it was. i do like it, but there is SO MUCH room for improvement.

  • kinda reminds me sack boy in littlebigplanet

  • I pretty much agree with everything you guys just said. I also was a little confused about the time line this movie uses. I mean, I get the feeling, from how all this is described, that 1-8 were all active for a while, and that the humans have been gone for at least several months. But how could this scientist have survived long enough to create 9? Wasn't the place gassed? And if he created 9 long after the rest, how did he survive with pieces of his SOUL missing? I'm confused.

  • 5:29 my reaction

the green bits in the rain at the end were life (they were there to carry on life)

  • I loved 9 :)

  • full price

  • this movie is soooo short!! it was like an hour and 2 minutes loong!!

  • 5:05 That face is priceless XD

  • the ending had me crackin up so hard XD

  • LittleBIg Planet meets terminator salvation

  • 100'000 views :-) sorry, couldn't resist.

  • well i'm just glad the movie didn't lose money. at least it tries new things unlike certain animated film companies that start with D.

  • The female one (I think 7) is badass.

  • OMG I watched this movie recenrly and DAMN did it surprise me. I nearly cried at the end of this movie. I hope they make dark animated movies like this more often because this was breathe of fresh air.

  • ok, I love the character and enemy design, but not so much the story. felt rushed

  • Jeez, the spill crew turns every movie into something sexual.

  • Dose any one know why the dude with the blue hat doesn't do movie reviews any more?

  • @TheMancanich1 Carlyle hasn't done a review for over a year because A) He's really busy with other things - family, writing, interviews etc. And B) To let Co-Host review movies more often.

Go to their website. You'll learn more that way.

  • my favs are the 3 main characters 9, 5 and 7 XD

  • Actually they did return life to Earth. :P They weren't meant to make more stitchpunk people, their souls were meant to bring life back. At the end, when the rain fell down, there was bacteria in the rain, thus returning life. The bacteria coming had something to do with the dead stitchpunks' souls. Hope this clears things up XD

  • 5:27

    Cannot be unseen.

  • I really loved this movie, I compare it more to The Secret Of Nimh rather than Terminator.

  • I completely agree with you in terms of the ending. I mean, I think that the creator kinda backed himself into a corner where he had nowhere to really go. It's a really cool concept, but it didn't follow through. With that said, I wasn't incredibly surprised about the ending, but there is a possibility of continued life. Simply because 3 and 4 were still alive in the end, and they held the memories.

  • 2:41-2:43 looked like something Kratos would've done.

  • heres a question for the spill guys... who do you think would have made a better voice for 7

    o ya 7 was my fave!! :3

  • It was kinda sad how they died though and I was close to tears when 6 got killed :(

  • My favourite characters were 1 and 6 ^^

  • When I rented this, I loved it so much yet felt it was so short, i watched it back to back. Big props to the creator of the story, just go a little further in the story next time! I definately encourage rising artists and writers to help Hollywood out in their search for very good movies!

  • wow...this movie is beautiful.....its very different...

  • I have an idea. They could open their little zippers and stick the insides into each other. Lol.

  • Looks like an interesting concept for a movie. Not sure if I should go see it...

  • @NobleM15fan

Chris, I'd recommend you see this. While it is short and therefore lacking in story & character development, i still give 9 a Low Full Price.

  • @Stitchpunk9 Is it out on DVD yet?

  • @NobleM15fan Yeah. For almost a year.

  • @Stitchpunk9 I'll check it out then. Thanks!

  • Little big planet meets terminator ha

  • I love the end when their crotches light on fire, not a bad movie though

  • 9 was BLOODY EPIC! *headbang*

  • come with me if u want to live!aourgwaoughw!

  • i actually found the ending to be quite profound..

  • Im going to see this, for sure.

  • @rangergxi you should it was a great show

  • well the end explains how theyre going to carry on life, but its very subtle. SPOILERS- the souls of the dead stitchpunks, which were parts of the proffesors soul, scattered off in the raindrops that you could see at the end. This vaguely indicates that the soul bits are meant to spread to small creatures or plants to eventually bring life back to Earth.

  • this is a full price movie. definaetly, shit i cant spell that word

  • Funny banter. I'm glad you guys quite enjoyed it.

  • when i saw the previews of this, i thought they were making Little Big Planet THE MOVIE

  • i love this movie. i'd give it a full price.

  • The first time I saw this movie, the ending seemed far to short.

The secondtime however, I realised that it couldn't have ended any other way.

  • @juanleal1992

No I named three. There was 9 the number, Nine the word, and District 9 the 9th district. So there you go. Three titles in one year.

  • i personaly loved the ending. it ending with the creation of life, i dont understand how that was a bad ending. the organisms in the raindrops was amazing, this movie was not cliche at all, the dude made this for his art school, a 11 min video and he did an amazing job. the color choices in this are amazing and the simplicity is refreshing.

  • "how are do expect life to continue when the potato sack people dont have penis?" THEY ARE ROBOTS THEY DONT NEED COCKS AND PUSSYS

  • hahahaha "DADUM DUM DADUM, DADUM DUM DADUM!!"

  • They pushed it as some sort of epic "dark" movie using "Welcome Home" in the trailor, but its nothing more than a cliche Tim Burton, kids movie. The only thing dark about it is that everything is brown and black. It hit just the right length for me to be think I'm glad it did not drag out any longer but it was short enough for me to feel robbed.

  • this movie was awesome, ending killed it for me.

  • I'm surpised I haven't heard one comparison to The Secret Of Nimh because I think that's the big movie I would compare this to. I thought it was a good movie, it wasn't too long, had some great voiceover work, and some cool looking animation. Low FULL PRICE!

  • Very good storyline, and very good creativity. I enjoyed the graphics. One thing I noticed was, I think I have the same kind of ideas for something of my own. Not like the same creative idea, just that darkness that I hope brings a light out in people. The only thing I disliked about it was... It went too fast. Very few levels of suspense, became somewhat predictable, and I was kind of hoping for more from the ending. However, though it has those points, it was worth seeing for me.

  • low rental for me.....i was bored all the way through the movie

  • You guys are the fucking shit, and I mean that in the most complimentary way possible. And I don't usually use profanity. But there's no other way to describe the bomb-diggityness of your reviews. I'm typing this as the next one buffers, but I intend to watch every single one of your uploads. FANTASTIC animation, too! I've watched about a dozen so far, and have LOLed at least once every time.

  • they look like tall little big planet sackboys

  • at the end........that was........odd.

  • 5:49 1-2-3 fire crouch

  • What a fucking shitty movie. Regretted watching even 1 second of it.

  • 9 is like LittleBigPlanet's nightmares.

  • @oDTheTruth Little Big Planet combined with the Terminator movies

  • the whole no ****** or ******s makes me think how the hell does sonic and the others have kids?

  • They are potatoe sack with SOULS! :) lol

This movie was very sad though....

  • Good news 9 fans!

I heard the director - Shane Acker - say that he'd love to do another 9 film after he's worked on another film. He wouldn't agree with the Spill Crew more about the flaws they pointed out. I think if he just rebooted the movie like Marvel did with Hulk and are doing with Spidey would make this a 'Full Price!!' or 'Better Than Sex!!!' film for certain and hopefully get Shane the awards and recognition he deserves coz i love his work.

Give me your thumbs and thoughts.

  • I always though that it was pretty badass that 8 uses part of a pair of scissors as a sword

  • @TheKingofHazzard Meh you see that in anime.

  • @hacker4637 Haha. I don't really remember any animes that have people using scissors as swords...:)

  • I loved this movie from beginning to end. The end even made me cry a bit and when 2 died jesus. This is a splendid movie and I hope they make a sequel. Whats so bad about the end anyways I mean 9 got to see his friends before they departed.

  • 0:58 hahahahahahahaha

  • other than avatar this is the best looking film i have ever seen

  • "COME WITH ME IF YOU WANT TO LIIIIVE, ASDFGH! D:<"

  • i want a sequal to 9!!!!!!! but i wonder wat there gonna call it? 9 two? 9 2? think of something

  • @theMickBrittle

    how about 10?

  • @theMickBrittle I bet there going to call it 9.2

  • number 9. number 9. number 9. number 9. number 9. number 9. number 9. number 9. number 9.

  • movie was short as fuck and had a dumb ass ending

  • Nine 2:Ten lol

  • Adult sackboys...

  • I gotta admit, even if the story is cliched, it is a good looking film. Like Cyrus sayed, this is basically a film of a video game. Carlyle made a point when the climax didn't have the intensity it should've had. I still like the film.

  • @FosterLarryis Fuck you spammer dont advertise in youtube GTFO!!!

  • Anyone think of the revenge of the fallen with the ending of this? they just plug something in and BOOM! movie's over

  • It's LittleBigPlanet people, vs. Terminator machines in a Fallout 3 enviornment.

Pretty much what I think it is.

  • @IViewVideos1 i couldnt agree more. lol

  • :09 "number 9, number 9" Beatles forever

  • sad movie

  • oh god i started giggling like an idot at the end XD

i thought it was a great movie, i just wish they didn't have to rush through it and make it so short

  • 1:01 come with me if u want to live toys!! *shakes toy head flys off*

  • i dotn know, i felt like i really got to know the cahracters extremly well throughout the whole movie. Despite the fact that it was kind of short.

  • Try VoobyMovies, ccm I Just Finished Watching the comedy "Year One" for free

  • try tu put that movie on 3d... even scaryer

  • Cliché plot, very bad ending, and lackluster characters. Seriously, there's nothing to see in this movie.

  • Yeah that Woman holding the dead baby thing freaked me out when I saw i!

  • number 9...number 9......

    beatles reference

  • Lawl flat.

  • This is the most I have ever agreed with one of spills reviews. On virtually all counts, good visuals, poor ending.

  • Impressive movie! This is not for everyone! It's a special movie! Watch it free online on

    watch last movies. com

  • Who else thinks that this movie was a form of inspiration for the guys who made 'LittleBIGPlanet'?

I agree completely with all of them on this, but for a first-time director basing his story completely on his epic 11-minute short, it was a very good start.

If Tim Burton really helped pull some extra 30-mins worth of film with some more moving acting moments with the characters and pulled out a happier ending, it'd be a Full Price. But I give '9' a High Matinee.

    Make 9 again but better!

  • FIRE CROTCH!!!!

  • LOl I love these guys.

  • The one thing I liked about this movie is the designs of the different robots, especially the Winged Beast.

  • COME WITH ME IF YOU WANT TO LIVE!!lol!!!

  • STOP CLOATING CORY! XD!!!

  • i think the film was better than they give it credit for it didnt even get an oscar nomination which kind of pisses me off because it was worthy enough to atleast get nominated even though it probably wouldnt have won

  • @shortguy1994

Compare it to Mr.Fox and Up. It could have replaced the Secret of Kells, but that may have been really good.

  • @EBHughsThe1st but it could have been nominated for special effects, sound effects, etc. it didnt necessarily have to be nominated for best animated movie

  • @shortguy1994

It can't be nominated for best special effects. There was nothing but effects, meaning there was no normal medium to help classify animated portions as special effects. And the live-action needed to be a majority of the film.

  • @EBHughsThe1st then i dont know what to tell ya

  • @shortguy1994 Especually because it was a 10 minute animated film, before they decided to make it a motion picture

  • For me, this film is between a rental and matinee.

  • how did he not think of terminator at all? or at least matrix?

  • ya, i agree wif dem

  • these guys are shrooming, i was engaged ALL the way right from the start and i found the characters to be very interesting and quite multidimentional. My complaint is that it was too short, there could have been more story, maybe a little more character development.

but the repopulation thing, if you recall they never used the word repopulate, he made them to "carry on", if they made a whole bunch they'd do what the humans did, need more and more and eventually destroy the earth again, my take

  • this movie could of been better, but, for what it was.... it was good. the art style was great and it really seemed like a big video game cut scene (a good one) and the monsters were like bosses.

  • I have a friend that thought this movie just dragged on forever... but everyone else that's seen it thought it was short...

  • i saw this movie and i cant 4get the scene when number 8 gets high

  • I REMEMBER THAT. That was such a WTF moment.

  • @crazychri1 haha, i know, i was like WTF??????

  • 1:00 LOL!!!!

  • I like 9, its a high rental

  • Probably a rental for me.

  • Out of 10? (Apologies for the names)

    Korey - 6

    Cyrus(how dya spell his name?) - 7

    Leon - 4

    (What's his name?) - 6

    So overall = 5/10

  • I liked it, but I do agree about the ending >.> It just sort of dropped off the face of the earth lol... I recommend this for... teenagers with younger siblings

  • 9, District 9, Nine, what's going on wit hthat number in titles?

  • @balrog13571 the next few movies are gona be called revenge of 9 number nine and i can count to 9

  • Seriosuly? Man that has to be the most popular number ever when it comes to movies.

  • @balrog13571 its unlucky ??

  • @balrog13571 becuse they ehere all made in 2009

  • @balrog13571 Cause of 2009

  • @balrog13571 it was 2009

  • @balrog13571 Don't forget Plan 9

  • @emeraldthechao174

Well yeah but I meant more recently.

  • @balrog13571 i dont know if u heard, but the number nine is fuckin awesome

  • friction lol

  • Rise Of The Potato Sacks LOOOL

  • @KnuckleBallz i bet that's the name of the sequel

  • lol! 9,rise of the potato sacks!

  • 5;41 XD

  • I'd say don't watch it. I went to see it because it invoked the name of tim burton, but it really wasn't that good. the dialogue was so dang cheesy and everything seemed to move to quickly.

    "hey-look-there's-a-person-oh-wait-there-he-goes. oops, he dead."

  • what doll did john c. reilly voice?

  • It's 5.

  • Comment removed

  • xD THE ENDING HAD ME IN TEARS OF LAUGHING SO HARD!

  • The characters are SOOOOOOOO cute!! I thought it was a great little movie :)

  • How are they cute? lol

  • Their eyes are absolutely adorable!! Yes, I am the one with the animated character fetish :P

  • the ending blew.

  • this film was okay. it could have been better, but it was okay. I think that what made this film fall short for me was that there wasn't too much depth to the characters and at some parts the plot wasn't all that engaging and got boring. thats just my opinion.

  • I liked, borderline loved, it. The Dialogue of the professor, Number 1 and number 2 really did it for me.
