I loved this walk. I did it while on vacation at christmas time 1999, at night. What a incredible view of the city before 9/11. Every New Yorker should do it.
Nice video. I have been in Manhattan several times and never have walked the Brooklyn bridge. Just didn't find any sense to walk it but thanks I will try next time.
Thanks a lot for post!! I been there 5 years ago...Its a very important place for me...Thank u so much for makes me enjoy the ride ...I appreciate it!! :-)
I took this walk two times last year (2010), and I intend to do it many more times now that I actually live in New York. Anybody who lives in New York and has a free day should go to the Brooklyn Bridge and do at least some of what Rob did in this video.
Omg i did this be4 Wow most Amazing thing i've ever experienced and im only 15 yrs old, there was benches on the Middle of the bridge i was brave en0ugh to sit down and eat my sandwich while watching the most Amazing veiw
New Yorkers and tourists! Want free tickets to an internationally acclaimed "psycho-comedy?" If you're into Conan O'Brien or Saturday Night Live, you'll love 666 and its lewd, hysterical clowning. Take a look at our videos and follow us on Twitter @666comedy for free tickets, more info and comedy news. Shows at Minetta Lane Theater in Greenwich Village, New York.
The Brooklyn Bridge is my favorite cultural icon of all time. I hope to do what Rob did, just as he says to.
I've been halfway across the bridge twice in my lifetime, at ages eight and eleven. It was during the first time out that I took my first-ever 35 mm photograph, of my parents, brother and sister. Haven't made it all the way across (as of 7/5/09), but I intend to.
(1) what you said at the beginning is hard to understand here on the new york somethingorother
(2) After Sept 11 I was interested in going to new york but it never happened. I saw something on the new york bridges yesterday. didnt realize the pedestrian went down the centre
thanks for posting wanted to know what it was like to go across, i love the lions gate in vancouver....canada
Great details; I'm glad you filmed most of your walk as I had been wondering what it was really like. Usually documentaries and travel guides just give you the highlights, not the actual trip to/across. Thanks for sharing.
you would be really funny,if a guy passed by u and looked at u like why are you talking to yourself... nice view of the bridge, ive never been there...
Thanks for the video. My husband and I were in NEW YORK last August visiting my mother in Brooklyn. It was awesome!!!!! I lived in NY til I was 18 and never knew that you can walk over. We did and loved it!!! Really enjoyed it and this video made me homesick.
Thanks for the video...I will recommend this video to whomever has not walked the bridge. I have never done it and plan to do so this labor day weekend. I have a question: what subway should I take that takes me to the entrance to the walkway in Brooklyn? I want to do the walk as you did, fromm Brooklyn to Manhattan...Thanks again!
I have never understood the thinking of newyorkers, thinking that trips between burroughs are long journeys, when in reality they are basically or reletively the same place.
Hi Thanks for the walk am watch'n from Scotland

One of the greatest things to do in NY is to walk over the Brooklyn Bridge & then hitting the Promenade.
Still rates up there with the best.
