the usa census said that amongs the cubans in the usa, 85% were white, while the puerto ricans in the other hand, only 47% were white,also the census stated that the cuban are self sufficient compared to all the other ethnic groups but puerto ricans were Dependant at the bottom of the list, in every aspect, the cubans came up as #1, while the puerto ricans and mexicans ended up in the bottom of the list, this is just few things to show that, if we look, there are a lot of differences ..

@joeplacetas1 considering that this is a white dominant society it then stands to reason why a WHITE MAJORITY of Cubans advance as they have.Which should be clarified, that the reason the majority of WHITE cubans are are WHITE is because they are descendants of Spaniards and not of the "TAINO INDIANS". The same is the case in Puerto Rico, where the majority of Spanish descendants (white) advance in their pursuits, meanwhile those of the indian descent are red taped. Yes there are differences.

Ignorance would reduce the plight of a people down to semantics, then try nullifying the obvious reasons by focusing on the advantages that the majority have enjoyed by the horrors and deprication of the rest. Yeah those census are a little messed up, they're not accurate at all, and I think whoever is taking those census thinks a certain way about puerto Rico... That it Is mainly made up of white spanairds which is again complete and utter nonsense.
