Better Question: When will he make a track that isn't another over lyrical battle rap, and instead actually say something. I don't want to hate on him too much cuz he's good as fuck as a rapper, but he's too straightforward and not metaphorical enough to rock the title Poet Laureate. When Canibus comes out with a song that can match NY state of mind, or Daydreaming, then he'll be raw, not until. Dont confuse complexity for deepness.

That doesn't make sense when you said "Dont confuse complexity for deepness." A subject is deep because it is complex. All his lyrics have metaphoric meanings and intricate similies that would make other rap liners sound like simplistic nursery rhymes. Nas is cool too, and there's no way I'd diss his style, but his style works well for him, just as these style work well for Canibus.

Better Question: When will he make a track that isn't another over lyrical battle rap, and instead actually say something. I don't want to hate on him too much cuz he's good as fuck as a rapper, but he's too straightforward and not metaphorical enough to rock the title Poet Laureate. When Canibus comes out with a song that can match NY state of mind, or Daydreaming, then he'll be raw, not until. Dont confuse complexity for deepness.

man deep tracks are lame, if i wanted something deep id read a poem. i want track like this with decent lyrics and most importantly a sick flow and good voice. i can listen to this again and again. if the lyrics are too deep it gets boring if u listen too much imo

That doesn't make sense when you said "Dont confuse complexity for deepness." A subject is deep because it is complex. All his lyrics have metaphoric meanings and intricate similies that would make other rap liners sound like simplistic nursery rhymes. Nas is cool too, and there's no way I'd diss his style, but his style works well for him, just as these style work well for Canibus.
