I just start to learn ASL recently, am hard of hearing. I can sign some simple words now. I joined a great deaf daing site, ----@Deafornot dot c om----, and met some good deaf/HOH friends over there. They help me to learn ASL.

Awesome, I think you use a different sign for "Japan" than I was taught. The way I was taught you make the letter "G" pointing those fingers out and kinda make a "J" shape with them.

Also, the sign for "monk" is awesome!

for a 1st year student you have done quite well, one of the best i've seen. out of several hundred. keep in mind this is a song, thus you need to keep moving with the beat. your signs and body expression should link with the song's rhythm -most importantly when there is no singing [lyrics to sign]. i can see you do this during the chorus (especially "why are you so far away...")
