i just keep listening to this...can't seem to stop, and i keep getting more out ot it. i love this!...lovely really!..the guy doing vocal accompaniment does an effortlessly perfect job of barely audible whispered singing..but without him the whole thing wouldn't be the same..Not many people can do this in such mature fashion. I think, it's because they are playing a song which is supposed to be played with a capo on 6th fret, and they did'nt use a capo, try it with any guitar, it will hurts !

While the singer is barring 6th fret the whole time, the guitar guy isnt, so capo wont work for him at all.

So perhaps the singer didnt want to be the wimp that is using a capo for his 4 chords while the other guy is shifting his barres up and down the neck. So it could be like rolemodel thing.

That explanation connects to the idea that you might wanna do what's possible to extend your limits instead of choosing the easy way and remaining on your momentary level.
