PS he actually did tell Deb he loved her in Season 2, right after she told him she would kill the BHB. ;) He said "love you sis" and smiled.

Deb has been worshipping Dexter for several months in her therapy sessions, then the therapist saw that romantic hug in front of the police station. It does not even take a therapist to recognize something's going on there. If she didn't have any feelings for him, she would not have responded so nervously to the therapist's suggestions. This just proves she considered this idea with dex before.

@steggy13 In an interview Michael C. Hall said that he and Jennifer knew this was coming and that it's with their blessing. I remember it being mentioned in comic con once but I thought it was a just a joke.

@steggy13 I always thought they were expectional actors. We about to find out, how for real, for real actors they are. And like I said upthread, the writers probably didn't know a them divorcing when they were writers this storyline. For people that read the series, where was Dexter and Debra heading or was in the books?

I don't see the big deal, they're not even blood related. Besides we all know Dexter won't let it get that far with Deb anyway. These are just random and forbidden thoughts and dreams that a psychiatrist rammed into Deb's mind, it didn't even occur to her until it was brought up by her psychiatrist. Ultimately it'll come to nothing, it just shows how messed up and vulnerable Deb is at the moment, that's all.

@mboyle05 How do you know it will come to nothing? Deb and Dexter are two very damaged people, they have got nobody except for each other. Since Deb is now a liutenant everybody kinda avoids the company of the boss. Deb loves dex too much to be with anybody else and I don't see dexter ever want to marry again. Deb sees Dexter as a hero, his safe place for now. So it can totally happen. Dexter can break the code to be with her even if it puts him at risk of being found out.

Oh my God this scene was so breath-taking! I've always seen something more than brotherhood between Deb and Dex since the beginning! Even if last week I still had some hard time imagining them kissing with regard to the promo, last night ep totally convinced me! They have such an amaizing chemitry!
