yeah, they definitely aren't the same band they used to be, but it's understandable, people change over time and so does the way they express themselves. they're more of a melo metal now, and i'm ok with that. i thought the black album was a good transition for them. not to say that their early stuff wasn't great, but they were the first ones to succesfully do a soft metal sound and it took off, they started a whole new movement in music. metallica in my mind deserves nothing, but respect

In my book of greatest guitarists, IMO he isn't a legend. Keyboards are more loose, melodic, emotional, and faster vs. guitars. Nugent is abysmal when it comes to riffs. And his solos are just typical blues solos.

Ron McGovney he was the bassist that was with them before they got Cliff. he was a member but didnt do any of the writing cuz he left due to Daves alchoholism before they started writing/recording Kill Em All. dave was also not a part of the recording of Kill he just wrote the stuff and then was kicked out so thats when Kirk came into the band
