The monarchy is part of our heritage. 'If I can't live of the taxpayer how can she?' boo fucking hoo. Stop giving India £280,000,000 in aid so they can fund their space program and buy French fighter jets. So much waste by GOVERNMENT, but you choose to destroy our history, our heritage for mere peanuts. £50,000,000 every single day goes to the EU, politicians have given billions to banks and failed European states but don't worry about that, 'da queen liv in big house, me don't, get rid'
The Royal Family paid for this themselves. It was really only the security issues that cost all that money. Theres nothing wrong with a bit of spectacle and a chance to celebrate. We're a country that has an unbroken monarchy for hundreds of years. Fair enough if you werent bothered about it, but Melvin could really have just turned off the TV or maybe he has nothing better to do than complain about it!!! Its events like this that make us proud to be British, looking after our traditions!!
My heart hurts when I think of the suffering going on. But, cancelling the Royal Wedding will not help that. There is good in the world along with the bad. But, you can hope that the young people who have now gotten married will turn their emotions towards making the world a better place. I think they have a chance to do that.
@TheAnnoyifier Seen the charities they're supporting? NO? Thought not. The damn Royals are using their wedding as a way of asking for wedding presents in the form of donations to charities... Such evil people!...
@IrresistiblyBetter Well maybe they could help the normal working class people by actually paying for the damn security THEMSELVES. We should not have to pay for these greedy people who can't be arsed to work and live like normal people and instead expect us to pay money to them to do nothing, we shouldn't tolerate this.
@TheAnnoyifier They bring in tourists. Do you bring in tourists? The World Cup is a bullshit event but I leave it be because a lot of people enjoy it. Myself and the majority of England don't hate the Royals so just sit there and accept it. There are a lot of people who don't like them but they do a lot more good than bad. The tourism industry is worth far more than the Royals.
@IrresistiblyBetter Oh here we go again, every person I hear say the words "They bring in tourism." This is the only reason that we are proud of these lazy nobodies who are the perfect example of what's wrong with this country. It's about time that people started to stand up for themselves and not just accept everything as it is.
@TheAnnoyifier I never said that it's the reason I'm proud. I proud of them because they have so much history behind them. England used to be the dominant country. We have amazing buildings and other works of art due to them. "It's about time that people started to stand up for themselves and not just accept everything as it is." They aren't doing anything wrong though. You're just arguing against it because it's something to argue about. The only argument you have is "they drain our money"...
@IrresistiblyBetter They treat working class people like rats, they don't even work or pretend to be normal, they expect us to celebrate them for doing nothing. These people have no place in our society anymore. I'm not proud of Britain, we only think about the past and how everything was great "back in the day".
@IrresistiblyBetter They don't work, they tax the working classes who have never done anything to warrant this and they expect us to try and celebrate them??? Why should we celebrate for people who got born into a family which we have to call "The Monarchy".
You don't get it, well, it's probably because you're too proud to admit that you are wrong.
@Sceptilianus No, it means join together and be proud of something as a nation. It's a slightly more happy event in the world compared to all the suffering that goes on. The guy's just a grump.
@IrresistiblyBetter How naive you are. If you think the royal wedding was anything more than a business arrangement and a PR stunt well, I envy your ignorance. It wasn't something we should be "proud" of as a nation. We shouldn't be "proud" of the monarchy at all considering its history.
@IrresistiblyBetter It obviously is. Just because an opinion is held by the majority of people doesn't make it any more credible or right. The UK is full of moronic ignorant sheep - this isn't news to me.
The guys laughing are really annoying... I think most of the world either 1. doesn't know 2. doesn't care or 3. is angry about the wedding... hat just leaves 4. the sheeple! The braindead worshippers of a bloodline with a history of racism, torture, murder, rape, creating poverty, and the list goes on... what is wrong with people!

Alternatively, country's got all this crap going on - ideal time for a free holiday and a reason to celebrate.

"join in" "get with the spirit of things"
Sums it all up. They're basically saying, "be like everyone else" "conform, dont think yourself"
It's a scandal.
