I wish Google would stop trying to make Google+ the most important aspect of our Google experience. Google+ is cool and I don't have all that much against it, although I don't use it; what bothers me is how Google shoves it into your face on every page. "Upgrade to Google+!" "Upgrade your account!" "Join Google+!" They have to understand that sure, their products can be great, but not every user needs or wants each product.

I still don't know what they were thinking. It's not like switching web browsers. Everyone is on Facebook, and I can communicate with them effortlessly. Why would I want to switch to another service where most people are not? If there is someone who I want to talk to privately, I message them directly. And now that Facebook lets you categorize people by friendships, I don't see how Google+ has a future. That said, I don't know how anyone will top FB at this point.

@marty7044 As often with market leaders it's not the competition they should fear but themselves.

Right now I think that the abundance of facebook ads, spam from apps like farmville or birthday calendar or messages from people they don't like and privacy settings are the current strangleholds for FB. All of these can be fixed within FB atm but when they lose control over this people will seep away. G+ is there to catch these people with simplified circles and no ads or apps.

I left Facebook for Google+ the day it came out, easy. I just don't understand why it's so hard for everybody else to let go! Facebook is clunky, full of ads and just feels heavy with everybodys updates flooding my news feeds. Google+ is clean cut, simple and fun. Also, if I can't copy down equations on the whiteboard fast enough I just take a picture of it real quick with my Andriod and view it later on my Google+, no problem. Why is it so hard for people to let go of something bad?..
