We caught her in Chicago when she was of course GOOD, but clearly hoarse and appeared tired from this tour; but these LA Staples performances are sublime. She sounds AMAZING here. I've heard it was taped for the CD and/or DVD.

I'm 40 and grew up with incredible singers like Barbra, Edith Piaf, Franck Sinatra... and the amazing Whitney. Watching this , i just ask myself how Barbra still can sing like that!!! She is the only one in my opinion to perform this way and she's 64!!
