Yes, in 1984 GNF Kevin road MY very fast 900 Ninja and started in my front row middle grid for the A Production, as I had crashed hard while practicing in endurance race day prior. After the race he had to disqualify himself, but Ulrich had already seen his talent, and the rest is history. Meril Moen
@EJ25RUN - You're right. I was at the Road Atlanta GNF in 1984 when Schwantz was "discovered" by John Ulrich (Valvoline/M4 Suzuki). Well, I discovered him too. I just didn't have any influence in the industry, lol. Schwantz was clearly a special rider.
