  • PAQUIAO.should of been in front of obama, how do you like the change!in your pocket, maybe obama can change faggweather's mind to man up 'n' fight, anyways they both ZUCK!!!!!!!!.

  • I think Manny Pacman is up there in the top 10 in the world! He's a sport figure, politician, actor, and c grade singer,. He does em all.

  • I'm glad he made it!! Manny is a great person and a good fighter! As to Obama I'm happy for him to because he the first president I even cared about or even watch the news :D

  • Pac is influential to many young men of different races. The list may not be all about sports, but its also not all about politicians. Manny so much as blinks at a Nike and he makes the company gazillions. Thats what influential means in my opinion.

  • foh

  • ellie i think its obvious u did this video because u disagree right?

  • he's influential; in asia and asians all over plus other races too !

  • Awesome

  • he should of been numero uno on the list and then follows thru who ever.

  • Manny has come a long way BUT becoming the prez of the US is not an easy task. If he can convince "ScaredWeather" to fight him he should get next years #1 spot. LOL

  • Time Magazine sucks period!

  • so he reads time magazine..

    dork.!

  • hey.. what's with the Time Magazine anyway?

  • I HATE WHEN U SAY REPORTING IN THE END OF UR SHOW! HATE IT, bring the tone down like a normal person!

  • @plutte000 but its funny hahaha!

  • Fuck both pac and floyd..One is a loud mouth shit talker and the other one is on steroids.

  • @noventaz accusiing pacman of using roids.. but does steroids give you skills that ismade from years of training? think about it before accusing people

  • @bimbim007 ....No it wont give you skills, but there is something it will do for you thats why athletes use them.

Example: Barry bonds was always a good Baseball player, BUT after he started using steriods, he blew up, had more mass muscle etc, etc.

So what im trying to say is maybe Pac was a good boxer, but "IF" he is using something well that is making him a great boxer!

  • @noventaz pacman never tested positive for steriod so shut the hell up.... now that pacman agreed to do the olympic drug testing that mayweather wants, still mayweather dont wanna fight...... now he a different excuse......

  • Crapiao dodged Mayweather.

  • STERIODS

  • Totally Gayweather homo.. hahaha

  • @noventaz your a moron....

  • i guess .... pacquiao fights for his country and his about to be an election for congress man... so i tink he deserves that spot after obama

  • I agree that Manny is on that list because of his attitude and personality. In spite of all the fame and fortune that he has achieved, he still remained to be humble and simple. Most people could not handle that kind of status but he does and he's doing pretty good with it. People get inspired by how he handles it being Manny Pacquiao and that's how he unintentionally influences people. Of course that is just one of the many things why he is influential.

  • why did u ask mexicans?

  • @jhaycu8 cause we don't read those kind of magazines =(

  • I don't read Time magazine, I prefer FHM

    LOL

  • 0:50

'Hector I gotta ask you, do you read Time Magazine?'

    'I read it'

'I cant blame you, nobody reads it'

    LOL

  • @ArsiniC11 -- haha

  • he should top 5 if anything he gotta deal with dumb ass people like the Mayweathers.

Mayweathers and Golden Boy promotions are attacking his Character and Pride to top it off they gettin sued either way.. lol

  • wow.. time magazine behind barrack obama!! unbelievable..its dat true???.. wel after he baet mayweather on march its gonna be history.. greatest fighter of all time..

  • Mayweather? not on the LIST lol...

  • good observation. probably the asshole is bathing in his own shitty money somewhere in a shit mansion or something.

  • @mlomailom lol agree

  • SOME TELL ME THE LINK TO THE ARAB, DOING KUNGFU SNAKE STYLE @ 5 second from the start MINUTE THAT IS JUST TOO HILARIOUS, PLZ TELL ME THE LINK TO THE VID

  • Comment removed

  • manny may be no,13 but on the night of 13/03/2010 he will be n02 and mr mayweather will be n01 !!! mayweather the boxing masterpeice !!!

  • @primeraprim

too bad that MIGHT not happened// because mayweather doesnt have the balls to fight pacquaio

  • Pac refused to be tested by more reliable methods, instead he's crying like a bitch and talking about filing a frivolous lawsuit that would take years to see a conclusion.

There is no logic for Pac refusing to be tested by more reliable methods. He just didn't want to fight. he thought Mayweather would balk at the "$10million penalty clause" and May accepted with no hesitation. Now he doesn't want to agree to random drug testing. This is a duck of the highest order.

  • @primeraprim He lost to Morales the first time because he got his blood drawn. Getting it drawn hurts alot more than you think. When he fought Morales again when he didnt get blood drawn, he ko'ed him in the third round..

  • @primeraprim

logic? you mean real logic? there's a principle of sufficient reason that Manny has already met and that Nevada has already established.

    Manny should absolutely refuse.

  • @Pinoy510Boy shut the fuck up, Mayweather called packyao out to fight, but pack refused to do the drug testing. Mayweather is too skilled for whatever packyao has. (better defense, better countering, better accuracy, stinging technique)

    - Not being racist against asians.

  • @supergunman64 Get up to speed with the facts, Manny agreed to the 14 day cut off, NOW Floyd wants to take one to two years off. I don't about you, but hahaha that's sounds like Mayweather cares a little bit too much about his record and wants to retire being known as the undefeated champion, BUT we all know he dodged who could possible be the best boxer of our era. No one talks that much shit about another boxer and then completely changes the subject and walks away from the fight, insecurity :D

  • @supergunman64 dude, read up on current events. You're way behind. The same deal he fought Mosley for, he's refusing to fight Manny ( 14 days cut off) And that's with a bigger purse. This is why ESPN calls him a coward because he has ran out of excuses.

  • @supergunman64

    nigga Mayweather doesnt controll BOXING!!!

    The comissioner does...

Why does Mayweather need to change the rules!!

Mayweather fought fighters without blood test...

why does he have to use blood test on pacquiao...

Drug test is better...also after the fight they will still drug test him...

whats the point of having a blood test...

Mayweather isnt in it for the money...his just in it for his record...

  • manny gonna be a political figure in the philippines so i think he up there wid obama. From boxer to congressman of a country thats a big leap.

  • pacquiao has pretty good chance beating floyd if he is going to use his offense very well not getting that much.

  • n saying time magazine is boring and outa date well ellie must have been drunk doin this vid

  • sarah palin who may be president some day ...

  • I like this guys answer 0:50

  • I'm pinoy Ellie but you're more a pactard than me!

nothing bad about that tho! xDD

  • LOL @ ellie for saying TIME as boring and features PAC being on it LOL I dont get it this time LOL

  • ellie must go back wer e came from becouse his dam man his brain is dry,,,,

  • @johnmarquiel

Looks like your brain is dead. [spelling]

  • sup haterz stop hatin!!!!haha!!!!

  • Pac is influencial in the Phillipines and to boxing fans as well as up and coming fighters whether if its MMA or Boxing. Now if you talking WORLDWIDE then Obama should at least be the top 5. That sounds a bit insulting for Obama having Pac being right behind the president of the U.S. Just my opinoin.

  • @FightNightRound4King

yeah i kinda agree with you.

i dont mean to take away anything from manny tho.

  • @FightNightRound4King not necessarily..., America is not the center of the world.. other people in other countries might not agree that Obama should be top 5. It was 2009 Time Magazine People Who Mattered in 2009. Other factors were considered,.

  • pacgirl

  • Ellie is asking the wrong people....LOL. Mostly educated people read TIME magazine.

If you read time magazine and others like it; you'll be able to answer questions in Jeopardy

  • Please stop with the Pacquiao and go back to the basketball please.

  • @Termanator13

Why? Pacquiao is bigger than anything that includes the NBA (including bron and kobe)

Appreciate and worship Pac-Man. Just like all of us and Ellie

  • Pacquiaos up there, but to be honest people follow soccer more religiously than boxers..Not in the USA but everywhere else its huge...I still like boxing more but just saying..

  • I head soccer is the no.1 sports in the world.. I don't watch soccer tho..

  • It is, people follow it religiously from Norway to Brazil. Soccer is #1 sport there athletes are paid more, travel more, etc. But i enjoy boxing more and where getting a bit off topic......I do enjoy soccer tho... Anyways go PBF!!!

  • elie sechback will be number 14 according to time, lol

  • i think manny truely is one of the most influential people of all time not just 2009. he's a true inspiration for everybody.

  • lol sarah palin may be president one day

Kobe still more popular than manny pacquiao sorry pplz

  • if boxing is on the prime scene, like u can watch it every week, im sure manny will be popular than kobe.. un like bball shows up every week.

  • if my grandother had wheels sh'ed be a bicycle

  • what's the connection?

  • If If if ififififififififififif

  • its alphabetical lool

  • The list is by alphabetical order (last name), not by ranking. Awesome that Pacquiao made the list.

  • @jdsunga

    yeah you're right...just saw the list...definitely alphabetical

  • So where did money mayweather rank on the list???? lol.

  • 1 million

  • LMAO

Do you read time magazine? - "I read it"

I can't blame you no one reads time magazine.

    WTF lol

  • 13 what a very lucky number hahaha

  • Ellie you are Awsome Man!!

  • When the world stop's everytime you have a game....yes you are influential, last fight that he has with the great miguel cotto, 10 people died reported in the philippines during the boxing match because of the excitement....yes you are influential, if you give back to your people....yes you are a hero:)

  • @darpb1976

    Seriously? 10 ppl died?

  • ea2153, yes 10 people died while watching the fight, and its not a good thing for sure specially for the family, but that's the effect of pacquiao's influence to the filipinos, last fight with hatton, I think there are 2 deaths during the fight reported, but you got to understand how scary for me this reactions is. Pacman capture the attention of the fans since he was just started boxing cause most of the time he's the smaller boxer,

  • but he always out-punch and out-smart his opponent, so the excitement of him gives a symbol of hope to many, you know, to overcome a bigger challenge

  • 10 people died?Is that a good thing?They died of excitement,how old were they 90?

  • not a good thing, and most of them are middle aged

  • The list was actually for the "people who mattered" list not "most influential". Obviously Pacquiao isnt as influential on a global level as leaders from different nations or even fellow athletes like Tiger Woods. By the way, number 8 on the list is Adam Lambert, the gay guy from American Idol.. so yeah so much for that honor.....

  • wow...the Pacman is really going bigtime now, or isn't he? =P

  • He is. And with his resume, oh boy the BEST of our generation if not of all time.

  • haha,edward is number 14 hahaha

  • who cares to those people who dont agree! there's nothing they can do anyway! Times mag. is big time! and that's a fact.

  • yeah specially on manny, i ts a rags to riches story. he grew up selling cigs on the streets just to buy some rice and now, he's the remaining hope of a WHOLE country. now thats influencial. oh yeah, and he wins tough fights after tough fights, and he's always the smaller guy. nuff said,-

  • Isn't Time Magazine the same publication that gave Bernanke the honor of being called person of the year?

  • Impressive on the Time Magazine cover, I got to agree cuz he does hold down 100m people in his country and not 2 mention the countless others around the world. Give me another current boxer who can hold down an entire nation. Ty ESNEWS on the MP update. How about doing one on MP being ranked as the World's Greatest Ever Boxer - overall 1. Sugar Ray Robinson 2. Manny Pacquiao 3. Muhammad Ali

  • Bernake was #1

  • Manny making the list is more about popularity.

  • well duhh...that's pretty much what the list is about lol

  • cooooooool

  • well he's the most influential figure to a country with close to 100 million people so he probably does deserve a spot on that list.

  • manny is an example not because he is a great boxer, but because now that he is at the top of his sport, he is still humble and is trying to better himself and also he is trying to help his people, that's why he deserves to be on this list because of his character.

  • change the name of your channel to MPNEWS Elie

  • Before I hit the gym I usually watch a round or two of Manny Pacquaio. He influenced me to work out every single day. He influenced me to run a little bit longer. He influenced me to do another set when I'm lifting weights. He influenced me to swim another lap. So yeah, He's up there.

  • i donot agree sorry...it just looking like good image work

  • yup yup,
