To everyone who thinks this is about Tom being addicted to painkillers or some other type of drug.. It was just confirmed by Mark Hoppus himself on Reddit where he did a Q&A, that this song is about an event that happened a long time ago where someone slipped acid in his (Mark's) drink.

He obviously had a horrible experience with it because he was not expecting it. *Also, I don't think he ever did acid before, so.. yeah, even worse*
