Ugh first I saw an orange octagon change to blue, then a blue circle disappear, now this.. I'm seeing too many shapes.

I stared at the the dot and blank screen comes. I blink and see the lines were todaly straight

The key here is the "concentrating" part i think, as you concentrate more intensely on one part of the image the remainder of the information of the image is sowewhat vague and since the brain has the habit of rendering what it is used to at the case of unavailability of information and since it does not know the exact crookedness dimensions it just paints them straight . . . try circling at the image for some time and close your eyes and view it inside the dark of your eyes to know what i mean
