This vid reminds me of myself a couple of days ago. Playing football as a reciever i ran an inside slant route. Instead of keeping my body forward i turned my whole body towards the ball anf when i landed my knee felt as if it just buckled out of place and i fell down instantly. With an agonizing pain my left leg was locked in about 45 degrees. I stretched it out and limped off the field painfully. In a couple of days my i will go to the docs office to check it out.
i tore mine last december playing basketball too, blocking someones shot and came down hard on my left knee. my patella also popped out. i just now had surgery on it 3 months ago and i almost FEEL better than ever, but i'm not gonna rush it, not a good feeling.
@riahnicole34 are you back paying basketball? im guessing youre just about 5-6 months which is what they said it would take to return to sports. im close to 3 months post op so im just wondering.
I tore mine 10 years ago playing basketball...worst pain ever. However, I never got surgery: both the doc and physio said I didn't have too. I spent about 4 months doing physio and retrained my body to land differently. Today I live a very active lifestyle, playing soccer, basketball and completing my first ever Triathlon. I have no problems with my knee (*knock on wood*) besides the odd pain, which I just use ice...not unlike having sore muscles.
I tore my ACL a few days ago. I got up for a rebound then went down with a fucked up left knee. I stood up and limped my way to the other court thinking I could still play and make a contribution. I am my team's point guard so I tried to distribute. When I tried to do a cross-over, I just fell once more, injuring my knee further. The doctor said I needed surgery and if I don't, I have no more hopes of playing basketball. The thought of never playing ball again hurts more than the torn ACL. F*ck.
@Brinah it feels really painful! i did and i felt my knee twist and it kind of felt like cracking which i can only assume was the ligament tearing, mine was in basketball as well after a layup, now im out for around 6 months from when i get the operation if i need it, which is in most cases :/
@mannsy90 i had one lately on basketball too.. but doc's said that there was no need for surgery... i guess i was lucky on that... 2 months in the gym and back to courts...
@Brinah its pretty sore, i completely ruptured mine playing rugby as a result of someone hitting my knee and making my femur slip off my tibia and pulling my ACL off the bone with it, youll now its done if when you try to stand up it jolts back further than it should bend or if it just collapses underneathyou
@Brinah It's probably one of the most pain things in your life /: I tore mine back in March and I got it during a track practice for Triple jump. My left foot was sideways when I landed (Not a very good way to land) and imagine popping all 5 fingers at once, then multiply that by 20, and that's what I heard when mine happened. I thought I broke my leg at first, but it was straight and I thought everything was fine but then I stood up and tried walking and my knee just gave out on me.
@ZacharyAdam24 Well i was playing soccer against a guy team.... (I'm a girl) And they became frustraded because I was much better then they were. And one guy was pissed of and dicided to tackle me. And that was just the moment i wanted to put mij leg down. So my thigh was standing in the normal way but the lower part of my leg was on his side. But now I can play soccer again! After 2 years, i had to wait one year for a operation because of my grown! more questions? I dont mind!

It really sucks, I Tore mine when i was 13 years old playing soccer. But I don't think it hurts a lot. I didn't give a single kick. In my opinion, Ankle injuries causes a lot more pain.
I completely tore my acl and I have to get this done...I don't know whether to get a donor or use my own...and I also want to know if anyone has had this surgery adn been successful enough to not have had torn it again...I just want to know it's possible
I tore mine too bout two weeks ago playing basketball. Not knowing it was my acl, I tried playing again on Tuesday and re-injured it. I'm getting surgery on October 4th. :[
@JayVegasTV Hope you're healing well man! Just underwent surgery last week. Tore mine from a Futsal game, landed wrongly on the concrete. And ofcourse, I didn't stretch. lol
agh i tore my ACL landing after a layup. it was the first serious injury i ever got from playing basketball im still working on my knee 6 months later
@spiderheo her knee gave out hyperextended it i did the same thing when i was playing basketball expect i went out to save basketball but knee gave out torn ACL and Meniscius idk how to spell it out id to get mine replaced but before that i sat out the 2nd quarter of basketball game but went back in the 2nd half. It doesnt hurt that bad i walked off the court and everything
thats what happened to me, running, and for like a second turn the wrong way my kneecap came out of place and went back in and then just completely gave out.
nothing to do with milk... and if you knew what was really in milk you would shut your gob and get calcium elsewhere. If your on a diet that has too much protein your calcium will leach out through your urine. Proper exercise, squats and proper diet would prevent these injuries.
1st off, the other players still have to worry about the game... i mean, you don't really know how bad the injury is until later. I'm a high school senior and i just tore my ACL 2 months ago, half way through season. i would of been annoyed if my team stopped playing or rushed over to come see me and make sure i was "okay" stuff happens.
women are more prone to an ACl tear because of there hips there legs angle in a little more because of the wideness of them. so it takes less forse to tear it
what the fuck is your problem she didn't mean to do that why the fuck would she do that to herself?! no one would want to do that to themselves you dumb shit.
