This film fails to mention the heavy blooding the German surface fleet sustained in Norway both from the Norwegians and the allied fleets. This would have major repercussions as Germany would lack the cruiser and destroyer fleet it desperately needed in order to escort its heavy assets while they raided commerce in the battle of the Atlantic. The lack of a surface fleet also eliminated any chance of an invasion of England, safe supplies to Africa, or the successful defense of the Atlantic wall.

To build the Westwall, the Nazis commandeered the trucks, employees and equipment of local companies. They were not paid and many such companies were ruined. The whole exercise was a waste because the west wall was never properly manned. It was a propaganda piece paid for by forced labor.

Interesting how the Nazi government said the west would use the Check's as places to stage their aircraft. And Hitler removed that threat by occupying the entire country.
