  • How did that come out???

  • a French car singing the British anthem...WTF ???

  • @norskasbj1 AFAIK the team is based in UK....

  • i closed my porn but never stopped jerking off

  • when does the song start?

  • OK...now let's hear "Thunderstruck"

    Or "Stranglehold"

Angus Young and & Ted Nugent love F1.

  • I tried to redo this tune on my Kia Spectra... but it didnt go too well.

  • Hey, that Renault can play "My Country 'Tis of Thee" !

  • az adrenalin érzem mikor pumpál az agyamba ettöl a "zenétöl"!

  • it sounds like a mad dog barking lol

  • @RoZ00M Not quite. Rules limit to 18,000RPM, but you're hearing the exhaust note, as it's a 4-stroke engine, each cylinder takes 2 up strokes and 2 down strokes for one exhaust pulse, that's two revolutions. So 18,000RPM * 10 cylinders / 2 rev per pulse = 90,000 pulses per minute = 1500Hz. There is no load and not a competition (so no 18,000RPM limit), so they might be able to do 400Hz to 1600Hz, so that's 2 octaves from a bit below middle-C.

  • @RogerFareham waw good maths!

  • @RogerFareham :O that was....good explained :D

  • @KarazhanIsCake God Save The Queen came first

  • Hilarious, and it also show the control they have on these motors.

  • sounds like a dog bark

  • 38 NASCAR fans are jealous that they'll never be able to do this with their hunks of junk.

  • go to 0:59 seconds!!

    I loled my head off!!

  • Because the Earl of March asked them to. On the Thursday night it was only playing "We are the champions" (which they were that year) and "La Marseillaise". The Earl of March suggested "God save the Queen" would be more appropriate, and the following day we got it.

It's amazing to think this was over 4 years ago!

  • Why is a French car singing the British anthem? :P

  • @rock3tcat

because the team is made up of French and british ingeneers

  • @Typon French and british ninja deers?

  • @rock3tcat it is as French as Bugatti is Italian :)

  • @rock3tcat most of Renault's F1 employees are British, based in Britain --> Bascially Renault F1 runned by Brits, funded by French ;)

  • what trill do yous get ota this u english bastards!!!

  • 38 nascar fans shatted in their pants due an attack of envy when heard this

  • most beautiful song in the world!

  • its posessed!

  • the most beautiful car in the world of F1

  • WOWLOL!

  • Now do the "Sex pistols version"! lol

  • Fucking hell thats nice, GOD SAVE THE QUEEN!

  • A french car playing the British anthem... Oh sweet irony....

  • @daporkchopexpress Well aside from that monumental prick Flavio most of the Renault team is British...

  • @PTKilowatt

yes of course & the USA are again a english colony lol...

it's just because this day Renault play several anthems

But of course Renautl F1 Team are the most of French & French Ingeneers...

The only common point with England is that Renault F1 even if it is French of course, have (had i think now) like several teams of F1 one of this main base in England

  • @daporkchopexpress

The opposite would be also (and even more ^^) an irony... But unfortunatly you dont have true (100%) English cars in F1 ^^

  • It did this during an episode of Top Gear. Hammond drove one of those things around....I believe it was Paul Ricard...but I don't quite remember

  • it sounds like a dog who barks xD

  • that most be the most expencive music instrument ever

  • @yathamun - Don't think so, maybe a close second to a Stradivarius Violin - they are rumoured to be priceless actually.

  • Ha. If you're American, chances are you're too fat to drive one!

  • I'm American and I'm not fat. Check the id on my channel-if I could fit into that little sh!+box I could certainly fit into an R25.

  • That little shit box is the supreme race car ever built, there is nothing that has the accelaration, the break capacity and the handling of an F1.

And if you want top speed check the Le mans series cars.

  • No, I mean the little shitbox in the video on my channel. I agree the Renault R25 is one helluva race car.

  • @Marobitel - For real peak top speed check out top fuel dragsters, 0..310MPH in 4.5 seconds! It helps having 8000HP.

  • it's 1:30 in the morning and my dog is now acting like a wolf on heat cause of this video.. lol I'm laughing so bad right now..

  • Frog car playing the English national anthem lol

  • Maybe it prefers Britain over France. =P

  • @gp75motorsports

The Renault F1 team play all the anthems & the Marseillaise also of course (it's more hard to play the Marseillaise ^^ )

    /watch?v=HSNAtKhzBKQ&feature=related

  • very appropriate for F1

  • lol that was on top gear.... those things are monsters........ i wanna drive one but never will probs

  • I think its possible to drive one in Sweden. Iv heard rumors that you need to pay around 3000USD for 15 min.

  • Whahahahah awesome!!

  • thats fucking awesome

    WOW :D

  • Awesome.

  • at the engine prep.. the f1 sounded like my rottweiler :)

  • angry formula is barking

  • This is what happens when you give someone with too much money an F1 car lmao :D

  • When the reciprocating assembly weighs neigh on nothing, it can accelerate and decelerate VERY quickly, primarily owing to the lack of inertia in the moving parts. That, combined with high compression ratios results in an engine grabbing and losing revs very fast.

  • second half of the vid

  • Bwahahahaha GREAT...!!

  • is better than the original version

  • The reason the revs drop so fast simon is becuase the compresion ratio on a f1 engine is extremely high. With a high compresion ratio as soon as you let off the gas the force of the engine trying to compress air inside the cylender without enough fuel causes the rpm to drop almost instantly.

  • how cool would it be if the anthem before every race is not sung, but played by an f1 car. then people will listen to the anthem^^

  • hasta para hacer musica son buenos los f1

  • essa renalt cantava alto.........de brasil

  • why do the revs drop so fast on an f1 car? they drop faster than the time it takes to reach them!!

on a road car you rev up to 5000rpm and the needle takes about 10 minutes to reach zero again lol

  • better engine braking i suspect, plus they rev more so it slows quicker

  • Beacuse a F1 engine, use ultra light pistons, rods, crank, and properly no flywheel.

This means very little inertia is stored in the moving engine parts, giving it at very quick accleration, and deaccleration.

This is alsow why the idle so high. Due to the low inertia the engine simply has no momentum at low rpm, and wouldent be able to move at all.

  • @Egebo86 nop wrong. you dont use engine below 8000 so no oil pressure. when at race engine rews 15000-21000rpm. some time you go down to 9000rpm sharp bend. to have litlle friction inside engine even oil pump have to be changed to give pressure above 8000rpm.

  • @Egebo86 The main reason they idle high is because of the LARGE cam duration, right?

  • it' because of an ultra light flywheel.

  • is good for the fast de- acceleration . They go fast so they have to stop fast too xD

  • possibly a result of very low flywheel effect, too?

    Very little stored energy.

  • WTF?! How cool is THAT !!! ^.^

  • that was awesome !

  • When the guys and gals in IRL and Nascar can do this, I will watch them also ;)

  • Genius

  • fuel efficient

  • 55 to 1:24

  • God shave the Queen!

  • God Save the Queen

  • Shit!! wow thats cool!

  • this is a shit copy. I've seen the same video but from another angle with no shaking and you hear everyone cheering afterwards. But i will say "you lucky bastard for being there" thanks for the vid anyhows!!!!!:):):)

  • or they could be pulling on the throttle cable...

  • They made you a martyr.

  • how do they do that? are they doing it while the engines idling?

that is kind of abusive, I mean u don't se marlboro scudiera ferrari doing that after every race.

  • i believe they do it with a laptop & a computer program that's hooked up to the engine management system.this allows them to program the revs by altering different engine parameters...

  • They did this on TopGear, When RH drove 1 around a small circit with only 1 day of practise

  • So when do they get it to sing the pistols version?

  • you'd be suprised to know how fast the rpm could drop from redline to idle. i was watching F1 on tv and the renault guys comented that the revs drop some crazy number under a second.

  • to right m8 !! ENGLAND!!!!

  • and im a chick not a dude :)

  • i believe you but my dad begs to differ. he says "their is no way the rpm could go up and down that fast and hit the notes right." i think he is just a fag cuz i believe you but yea...

  • its obvs computer reved :)

  • oh yah,.. that'd make sense.. ill tell my dad that and see what he thinks.

  • Uhh... Tell your dad to research a bit more into this stuff, these things are not like your regular engine.. The revs can and DO go up and down that fast.

  • he knows ALOT about formula,, more than i probly could! lol but idk why he doesnt believe it... im sure i can convince him to ;D

we are going to see a formula game next year i think,, if they do it their then ill PROVE him wrong! :PP

thanks for the video agian ;D

  • They do it at all the races. I can tell you one thing, it is a hell of a lot more impressive in person that it is over a video. When I went to the Indy here it was actually on the schedule of events :).

  • It's definately real.

With a really small flywheel and next to no inertia you can go from 3,000rpm to 18,000rpm in about 1/4 a second (with a 10 cylinder 4-stroke engine = 250Hz to 1500Hz, so about 2.5 octaves).

You have to realise that the engine is fly-by-wire, so the butterflies controlling air-flow, as well as the injection and ignition are all computer controlled. So the computer can be fine tuned for best effect.

  • yeah,,, honestly i do believe you but my dad still doesnt seem to understand. he says that when it changes from 'note to note' in that song that 1/4 a second would be to slow. he says youh would hear it change and it would change slower than that. that just skipped right to the nots really fast.. its hard to explain through a message how he explained it but my point is he still wont believe it. :[

  • @RogerFareham they dont use any electonics like our cars doo their rpms are based on electronic signatures sent to a selenoid.. thats how they raise and lower rpms so fast

  • @SexPistolsLuver its real they showed it on top gear

  • @SexPistolsLuver the pistons move up and down 300 times a second and its done with a computer.

  • my dad says that its not real though that you recorded it and put it together with it. that the rpm doesnt change that fast??

  • sorry dude your dad is wrong

  • haha thats freaking amazing! XD i luve formula one cars!

  • bastante bueno!!

  • Built to be a singer :D

  • yeah

  • that was awesome

  • now thats one national anthem that you dont fall asleep through

  • agreed, also italian, brazilian and finnish anthems are good.

  • unbefuckinlievable!!!!

  • I wanna hear it play "Hava Nagila" and the Mexican Hat Dance, lol.

  • Start at 58 seconds

  • kl, a minute in. i lasted about 25 seconds first time round

  • Goodwood 2006. Awesome video!

  • it would be more impressive if a driver could play it just feathering the accelerator lol

  • lol

  • to get a french engine to play a british anthem ....PRICELESS

  • hahaha

  • lollllllllllllllllllllllllll

  • that vid is awsome!!!!!

  • hermoso, a que te dedicas ???

  • well i guess it is trying. engineers with way to much time.

  • good car, pity about the song tho....

  • Lol "Queek queek queek queek queek".. <--???

  • But Ferrari has the most beatiful song

    ¡forza Italia!

  • thats what i want to wake my neighbours

  • it isnt playing god save the queen

  • Wait until 30 odd seconds in...

  • it starts an entire minute into the vid.

  • cool

  • not true almost all teams factories are based in the UK and even if they don't orriginate from here they have been built by British hands, in addition both McLaren and Williams are british teams

  • Here is a list of the current British F1 cars (and where they are registered):

    McLaren: Woking

    Williams: Grove

    Renault: Enstone

    Red Bull: Milton Keynes

    Honda: Brackley

    Force India: Silverstone

    Super Aguri: Leafield

So over half the grid are made in the UK!

  • man, I miss the v10's.

  • designed and built in the UK

  • it was for top gear. so.. the british song fits

  • Not for topgear at all. They do it at shows plays other songs as well. The reason for the British national anthem is Renault's F1 team is really British. Like most teams in F1 it is Based in the UK and uses British designers and Engineers.

  • yeh this wasn't the top gear one but they did do the same thing on top gear

  • Actually it's because the Earl of March asked them to. On the Thursday night it was only playig we-are-the-champions and the French National anthem (la Marselesse?). The Earl of March suggested God-Save-The-Queen would be more approriate, and the following day it's was up and running.

  • The french national anthem is "La Marseillaise" (yeah like someone from Marseille.)

  • Really?! :O

So if the designed an built them on the continent they'd be even better!

  • wow when it hits high revs its sounds the shit

  • Love that

  • how do they do that?

  • The car is pretty neat though.

  • I LOVE IT!!!

  • i swear this is almost the weirdest thing ive ever seen, i mean in the begining i didnt get it but thn i heard it near the end..its kinda ko0l but not my thing u kno

  • champcar sucks ass. nothing compares to F1

  • I like F1 because it represents the cream of the crop in drivers, oh and also, i like right hand turns lol

  • Now that, is cool!

  • wuaaaaaaaaaauuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

  • absolutely fantastic use of their time and effort...F1 still rules.

  • Great video 5/5

  • wow!

  • Love it!!

  • dont label us so quickly... we do have a lot of fans of real motorsports here in the states, the southern hicks kinda make all the press.

  • I agree. Another American for the promotion of REAL motorsports and it doesn't start with a N and end with a CAR.

  • Moto GP, WSBK, AMA SBK fan here :D takes loads more to ride a bike than to drive a NASSCAR.

  • Agreed. Those motorbike series are pretty fun to watch to, though I find cars more enjoyable.

  • yeah, some of the racing in bikes becomes boring. in the AMA, suzuki is dominating every race because of spies and mladin, in GP watching stoner run away with it every race was lame.

  • exactly...i got really pissed off when fox took the whole f-1 series off of tv...they had it for at least a month...the only way in america that you can watch any type of racing besides nascar is to buy shitty, overpriced cable or satellite

  • yeah. it can be kinda funny watching them on a road circut. u can kinda c them freaking out when they come to the right-hand turns, and they start forming this big clump at the turn.

  • the human stupidity working very very well...
