Je ne dis pas que tu ne parles pas français, et je ne suis pas en train de te reprocher quoi que ce soit. Seulement, je trouve que bien que les paroles de tes chansons soient en français - et sans fautes -, elles ne sonnent pas très françaises. Tu n'as pas certains tics de langage qui sont propres aux vrais français et que tu n'as aucun moyen d'acquérir autre qu'en séjournant en France. Pour parler anglais, il me suffit de regarder une de mes nombreuses séries.. : )

pas offensée ;) j'essaye juste d'élucider: bien que je sois née à paris, été à l'école alsacienne pdt 11 ans & terminé à l'eabjm (bac A2), j'ai passé les 18 années suivantes à NY, où j'ai perdu bcp de français... & i tend to write w/my anglophone audience in mind, alors j'incorpore également des anglicismes afin qu'ils puissent s'y retrouver + facilement. voilà certainement pourquoi je sonne faux à tes oreilles. hopefully i'm @ least singing in key ;)

Only Celine Dijon is French. All the others are New Yorkers I believe... Whole saga comes from the "Sans Culottes" band that split in half (ok 90% / 10% ) and became the NNP. "Sans Culottes" still exists but not -to me- the best part of the original band. Now, why the faux French? Their inspiration comes from the French 60´s and with the french accent, they fit perfectly in that style.
