nocturne1980 - I too hope that Alan Ball recognize how good a pair Tara and Sam makes and doesn't bust them up for good. Anyway, it is the book's author who has the last say. Charlaine Harris' books has Sam waiting on the sidelines for Sookie while she sleeps around with different supernaturals. I just fear that Charlaine is going to end her book series with Sam and Sookie being together.

Actually AB has the final say in regards to the series. He has always stressed that the series will be loosely based on the books. Which is true considering he built on Tara's character and made her black. The more I think about it I don't know if Sam deserves Tara.

ebonijayde - Although there had been some welcoming changes away from book, the series plot lines have been pretty dead on. As for Sam, I am tired of him pining after Sookie. At least Tara had gotten over Jason and moved on in s1.

FatJan - I respectfully disagree about the tv series being dead on. I'd prefer to say it's very similar or close. My first point being Eric killed Longshadow not Bill. Second, Sam doesn't need to see an animal to change into it. Third, where's Bubba? He's not a minor character either. I love the changes AB has made. but in humble opinion he's made more than minor changes in regards to the books.

ebonijayde - Ah yes....some of the EVENTS in the TV series have indeed deviated from the books, however, the book's main PLOT has so far remained intact in the TV series. In book-1, the main plot was centred about finding out who was the serial killer which was also the main plot in TB. Alan B admitted that TB is loosely based on the books and I am glad he has took that bold step. I agree also that Bubba would make an interesting addition to the show. Maybe that is in the works.

fatjan- Your last sentence goes back to what I stated in the first place. I never meant to imply that I did hot like the changes. The minor changes he has made in my opinon changes the course of the plot. Bill killing lonshadow and being punished for it by creating a new vamp is a major change. to me it makes it more unpredictable. I think it's great for those of us who have read the book. You know we can go back and forth on this all day so let's just agree to disagree Deal?

I love the tv series. The acting and the script keeps me wanting more! They ought to publish books/comics of the tv version to include parts that were edited out.

I just read that Alan Ball is not bringing in Bubba. He said that although it's not cheesy in the books, there's is no way that he could do it on screen and that it wouldn't be cheesy.

I thought that didn't sound familiar about him needing to see an animal to change into it.

And since I haven't read the first three books in so long, I can't even remember the whole Longshadow killing thing.

It's interesting how some people see the changes as minor, some see them as major. I personally like the way Alan Ball has expanded on existing storylines without destroying the integrity of what was written in the books.

There is certainly something between these two. I mean take a look at the way they kiss, it is so sincere, slow, determined, loving. They are in denial of their true feelings. By the time one of them at least finally decides to say "I love you", it will be too late.

I would really hate for Sam/Tara relationship to go bust. In the book, he and Sookie kiss numerous times (*darn*) but, there is no telling what Alan Ball will do.

Maybe Sookie will have a fight with Tara in a jealous rage over Sam, and/or Sam will drop Tara for Sookie while Bill is out of the picture, further driving Tara away.

FatJan - From what I've heard Sam and Sookie will be getting closer in the next few episodes (I'm guessing especially since Sookie knows Sam's secret now).

I think Sam might dump Tara to be with Sookie but I'm really hoping Alan Ball sees the potential Sam/Tara has and doesn't do that.

I really don't know what Tara sees in Jason or what Sam sees in Sookie. Granted, Jason helped Tara deal with her alcoholic mom when she was little, but that was years ago and now Jason, as a man, fails miserably. And Sookie is just a naive and whiny little twit. I think Sam and Tara are better for each other than their respective crushes are. What the two of them see in Jason and Sookie is beyond me.

Even after Jason found out that Tara liked him it didn't stop him from f*****g that other woman outside Merlotte's where Tara would obviously see them and then moved on to fellow V-addict Amy. Have you noticed how Tara and Jason haven't had a scene together since Tara chucked him out of Sookie's house? That's why I'm not convinved by the whole Tara/Jason relationship yet.

Everybody tries to warn her that vampires are dangerous and instead she sees it as everyone trying to stop her from being with Bill. I reckon Sam has her on a pedestal and if they do get around to dating and she doesn't match up to his expectations he'll become disillusioned and might dump her.

I really hope that Sam does "love" Tara, because i know bill will be back and sookie will leave Sam. I just hope that Sam realizes that he's not in love with sookie and it was just a crush. Any way you look at it at this point Sookie and Tara's friendship is destroyed.

elysee14 - I think that Sam does love Tara a little, not just because he gave her the money for the exorcism but the way he was looking at her in ep 7 after he said the trailer was falling down around him and she said it would look good with a bit of work. If Sookie makes a move on Sam after seeing him and Tara together doesn't it make her a hypocrite? After all didn't she point out to Sam that he only showed an interest in her when Bill showed up so she's doing the same to him.

Sookie was visibly upset upon finding Sam and Tara passionately kissing made me wonder why she reacted that way. Could she be upset at Sam thinking that he is using Tara? Is she upset with Tara because she kept this secret from her? Or in some f-up way is she mad at Tara for 'stealing' Sam from her? Maybe all the above.

I think it's mostly it's the last one. After all Tara told her in ep 1 that Sam has a crush on her and she went on a date with Sam so she must have felt that Sam was her 'back up guy'. Neither Tara or Sam have ever hinted that they liked each other as more than just friends so she probably feels that Tara 'stole' Sam from her.

On a completely different note does anyone else feel bad for Hoyt? Everytime he tries to be nice to someone he ends up being told to 'F-off' (Tara) or is attacked (Jason)

Based on the preview clips for the last 3 epsiodes; it looks like Sookie dumps Bill. If she feels a tiny bit for Sam and turn to him on the rebound,he'll dump Tara in a heartbeat.

I was struck when Sam admitted that he wanted to have something between them. He's such a gentleman not giving up on her and giving her $800 even after she chased him off. I was like, whoa, he's amazing!! Tara would be a dang fool to pass up on a guy like this. As she once said, "Sam, you're hot, got a job, not a serial killer!!!". Sam could very well be her last chance for something good in her life and she could lose him to someone else!

I wish less time was spent on Amy/Jason/Eddie and more on Sam/Tara and Bill/Sookie. Like Jason tackling Rene over the tree was unnecessary. Also, the Amy/Jason sex scene was much longer than Bill/Sookie's, I mean what's up with that?

One thing I did notice was how Sookie reacted to seeing Sam and Tara together. WTF does she have to be upset about?? Another thing I was thinking about is wether Sam has any sort of super strenght like the vamps. I know we've already discussed different theories on why he didn't fight back when the vamp held down at the bar but I'm starting to think all he can do is change shapes. Yes, I know in the books he's strong but you never know how it will play out in the series.

I guess Sam is not a normal guy after he tells her his secret. i will be kind of mad if my boss liked me and then moved on to my best friend, i will feel like he was just using her.
