Of the Nov 1944 total of 264 combat divisions, only 42 were armored or motorized. The great bulk of the German combat strength-the old-type infantry divisions-marched into battle on foot, with their weapons and supply trains propelled almost entirely by four-legged horsepower.
Yeah they had a cool army and the best uniforms , guns ,tanks but at the same time I am very glad they lost the war. Any way nice to see these 12 ss panzer division photos I always liked there wide array of camo they had. great stuff.

@ursel09 aber nur weil die Alliierten dummerweise Chamberlain´s Appeasement folgten. Wenn die ehemalige Entente schon 1935 bei der Besetzung des entmilitarisierten Rheinlandes zugeschlagen hätte, wäre der Welt ein Weltkrieg und Deutschland die totale Zerstörung und 40 Jahre Teilung erspart geblieben, außerdem wäre dieses Land dann auch noch unabhängig und nicht der Sklave der USA

The original SS were the 1st Adolf Hitler "LEIBSTANDARTE, 2nd SS"DAS REICH"
3rd SS "TOTENKOPF, 4th SS ALLGEMINE a police Division, 5th SS WIKING. They were the original German SS units. At the end of the war the "12th SS "HITLERJUGEND" was form from the Hitler Youth & they were some of the most fearist fighters with there PANZER Commanders like Kurt Meyers. The U.S. ARMY has copied most of all the tactic's used by the WAFFEN SS, my father fought for the US Army in Korea & Viet Nam& US Navy42-45
@MrStewart149 Don't agree......Stalin was the biggest war criminal of the WW2 era!! That scumbag personally ordered the killing of millions of his own people let alone all the POW's. What should of happened in 1943-44, is Hitler being assassinated & then the Allied forces joining with the German forces to destroy the Russian war machine. How different the world could of been???
@generallee501 The allgemeine SS did not run the camps, it was the Totenkopfverbande. Also, all camp guards were incorporated into the Waffen-SS by Himmler in April 1941.

The German Wehrmacht and also the SS Troops had an advanced Weaponery and an advanced Uniform Camouflage .
