  • What is making your speedo meter do that is the actuall speedometer itself. The needle has sort of a cup on the back that sits around a device which your speedometer cable is connected to. Somtimes grime or dirt can get in there and make the cup catch the other revolving piece. If your cable stops turning at times then your speedometer gear in the trannsmission is stripped out in a spot.

  • Unscrew the speedometer cable from the back of the dash and spray wd40 into the cable, that will take care of the needle wobble. I know it works, I had to do that to several 58's I owned.

  • Wow, brings back memories! The speedo does the same jiggling thing mine always did, too!

  • Loud engine needs an another gear!

  • @3656761 it only had 2 speeds.... Olds, Pontiac and Cadillac were the only GM car with the hydramatic which had 4-speeds... Buick and Chevrolet had 2-speed trannies

  • Awesome, I'm trying to get one of these as my next project. Are you running a powerglide I'm guessing off the PRNDL
