  • why dont they use nets?

that way you can tell whether its goal or a save

  • gooodddd!!!!

  • the goalies suck really bad

  • nice,,,at least they're playing not just trying to stand up :))

  • I like how cmddragons pass the ball, Liverpool will hire them to train their footballers next.

  • 二番目に出てくる青のRoboDragonsは愛知県立大学のチームです。02年より毎年出場しているようです。これからもがんばってください。

  • They play very well,

    but i hat robots :D

  • woo nice pass

  • The develop a central program which controls every robot, unlike real futbol where every player thinks on his own, here every robot is controlled by the central program. Every robot also has a little of AI within it, but it does not imply that the robot think by its own... A camera is connected to the central computer, (that's why you see those funny patterns on ton of every robot) recognize the position of every robot and the ball, then come up with a strategy and send the commands to each rob.

  • could you explain if there is a single program controlling all the players or every one is playing on its own way?

  • @Sergiuss555 Each team are a group of programmers who write their own Artificial Intelligence programs for their robots. That program then thinks for the robot while on the field and each robot then acts according to what is happening on the field at the moment. The team who develops the best AI wins.

  • @Sharangir thank you, but i am not sure i get what i wanted to get. pls let me know if i am wrong: all those robots are controlled by a single program that develops the whole strategy for a team and gives the commands to each robot. Another way could be to develop AI for each robot and make them think separately.

  • @Sergiuss555 That is a good question, and I'm not sure about this, but I believe that they develop one AI for the team as a whole, and not 5 separate ones for each robot.

  • @Sharangir yep, i assumed the same. though the second way would be much more interesting and real (and more difficult) by means of AI development.

  • @Sergiuss555 This is what's on the RoboCup's site for this league:

"This league focuses on the issues of multi-agent cooperation with a hybrid centralized/distributed system."

  • @Sharangir ah, this is very helpful. then (as far as i understand) they have intelligence functions split between every robot and a central program. though i will go to the site and make a deeper research. it was great idea to go to their site ^_^ thank you.

  • the ball goes to fast

  • holy shit

  • CMDragons are the best

  • Auto Robot great.......

  • wow this is super fucking awesome man

  • this is remote controlled right?

  • No, only artificial intelligence! :-)

  • wow. these robots are smart compare to the other robots who look likes humans

  • are these robot remote controled or auto matic? its nice and good techniequesh. lol dunno how spell .hehe

  • fully automatic, no remotes

  • wow are u serious! How do they operate than?

  • A.I. 50% of their brain is on a computer linked to a cam above which can see the colors of the bots. Then the computer sets the strategy and the collective moves. The bots can see the ball on their own, move, avoid obstacles...

  • tons of sensors

  • tanx

  • Wow. They destroyed!!!!!

  • these guys are great..

  • amazing

  • Eastern Mediterranean University Ruless
