great video set to some excellent shots of the dakota and strawberry fields brings back memories of me and my sons trip in 2009.unforgetable,great job.
You guys should listen to Ozmosis -the dreamer, he uses the rythem to this song, and to me it`s such a much better song than and makes you think more.
i hope your not suggesting it's a better version than the man that wrote it,if it works for you in that way that's good, that doesn't make it better then lennon's,how many people have heard of ozmosis, and how many have heard of WHAT'S HIS NAME? UGH JOHN LENNON..
it isn't really big, strawberry fields isnt what alot of people imagine it to be. its just a little park and in the walkway that imagine circle is there and people put stuff on it, thats all it is.
No, in the big scheme of things the circle is only about 10-12 feet in diameter and is more of a marker than a "place". Strawberry Fields is a tiny piece of Central Park, but it does draw a crowd.
The Dakota looks a very classy building..perfect home for the classy man John was. I heard Yoko still lives there, does anyone know which apartment it was?
Thanks for posting this video. The music makes it all the more poignant and moving. It also brings back happy memories of my own visit there in April 2007.
Pt. 2 - I believe there's a guy called the Mayor of Strawberry Fields whose job it is to pick up all the stuff left behind each day so the next batch of visitors can start it all over again the next day, cool.
The decorations laid over the Imagine mosaic always struck me as rather similar in my visits over the years. I'd always wondered if it was the same person who left them each morning? Perhaps the Mayor...
Part 1. You did a great job! I have been there about 10 times "in my life" (I live in Buffalo, NY about 9 hours away). Everytime I go there it seems so peaceful. It's a wonderful tribute to a man who loved NYC and what it stood for. It's not overdone at all and its wonderful to see all the things people leave behind like the apples, strawberries, roses, carnations, pictures, guitars etc. The people who come to play their guitars are great.
Wonderful video. Nicely done. I remember how loved the Beatles were; especially John. Viewing this video, I was able to reflect on the song's words. Poignant and so optimistic. Thanks so much for posting.
Why thank you. That's probably about the best comment I've ever received! A place like the Dakota touches you, both as a reminder of the tragedy that was and a sense of loss over what could have been.
Pun intended, I hear you. Problem is, it makes editting much more difficult. In this case, I also had my family along, and they would have thrown things at me if I'd constantly been asking them to be quiet every time I pulled out the camera

These videos would be much better with the sounds of NYC.
