@arvindemey they are used for entirely different purposes. FL Studio is better for sequencing. It is horrible for audio recording. Acid on the other hand is good for multi-track audio recording.

Hey everybody i seriously need help... while trying to find a plugin to use with acid, i accidentally told it to search my entire computer for plugins and acid froze... so then i tried to bring it back up and now its taking a REALLY long time to load something at startup... i dont know what to do. :( (already tried uninstalling/reinstalling btw)

@muzikbiz001 actually no, there is no order, Pro-tools and logic pro are on a similar level, but you can use Reason as a slave in all of them in order to further the sound bank, but reason can also be used by itself (as i use it), but you can't record in it, for a program with almost the ame level of usabillity Propperhead Record sits up there with Pro-tools, and Logic. I actually think its second best beating out logic.

@Snoowman92 thats easy man all u have to do is turn up the bpm bar to the left of the program once it opens...that speeds it ups and slows it down

@Snoowman92 hey snowman i went and figured it out it took me a couple days to figure it out!!!! but u have to use the "time stretch" plug in for a track and adjust the "percentage bar" to the speed u like and u can do that to any track u want and it will be a different tempo than the other tracks u can have every track a different tempo if u want.... if u use "time stretch" lol seriously

I'm hoping someone can help me with this; I have ACID Pro 7.0, but for some reasons grooves do not work on it. I right click it and the "Add to Project" button is not clickable- is there something wrong with my program or computer, and is this a common problem?

Hello my friend, nice video.

When I record a vocal track, I arm a track for record the vocals, and just play a regular track as the instrumental playback, but the armed recording track captures my voice sound plus the instrumental playback also.

I want co capture just my voice and being able to play the instrumental track.

you could try using headphones so you hear the instrumental track through the headphones but the mic should only pick up your voice

You listen to your scratch tracks and record your new (vocal) track while wearing headphones. Generally, you only need the headphones if you're recording with an open mic. Of course, you turn down the gain to your monitors or you can record in a closet...whatever it takes to stop the bleed from entering your mic. If you're recording electric bass, electric guitar or keyboards you can play along with your studio monitors opened up if you're plugging directly into your board or a/d convertor.

I used to use Acid 3.0 and 4.0 like...YEARS ago. I always liked it the best. I've been using Reaper and Ableton lately, but interested in going back to Acid since it's where I started.

The only thing that is realy sucks on Acid is the EQ automation. Most of the useable range is in the bottom of the channel graphic, even on full screen.

I hoped that they fixed it in this version, but they didn't.

I also couldn't find any post MIDI recording quantize. Is there any?

i haven't seen the option to pre quantize but all you have to do to post quantize is highlight the midi notes and right click, click on midi processes and filters...

The Pre quantize is when you to the MIDI track properties => Input filters => Quantize (in th rll down menu)

You need to check on the settings of the program ...and see what you've selected for RECORDING DEVICE..also your sample rate on the sound card could be an issue ..Most likely tho`..it's a matter of selecting the right recording device...ALSO..make sure you dissarm the recording button once you've recorded whatever you're recording. If you do not do this you risk to record BLANK ...over ..your initial recording

umm, hard to explain. move your cursor over the left top corner of the clip you want to volume incline until you see what looks like a curved triangle. click and drag to the right..... it should then somewhat shade the clip and a curved blue line will appear over the clip.

u can also just use the volume envelope. click on the track, hit 'v'... should show up as a blueline.
