250 two stroke will blow away modern 450 thumper up any real hill. Someone who knows how to ride a 125 can embarrass a big spender on a big,heavy 4-stroke. Stalling a 450 is almost like seizing a 125, you're not gonna win , regardless. Just compare costs for parts and maint. over course of a couple years,why waste your money?

you might be able to post a slightly quicker laptime on a 4 stroke, but whats the point if your not racing. 98% of those who ride dont race their bikes so your riding for fun. and fun is a 2T's purpose in life

yes they may be harder to ride but youll become a much better rider on one, and you dont have to worry about valves and cams and oil filters.

cmon people open your eyes, ride a 125 on a good peice of trail and youll be converted too

i have both a 2 stroke and a 4 i will say i do like the 4 alot better for the tight single track winding through the woods, but i do like the 2 stroke for the fast woods ridding.

Of course I don't. I don't know that the new breed of four stroke till takes double displacement to run with a 2 stroke. I don't know maintenace is expensive and more frequent, I don't know that they are still slow, over priced pieces of shit. I hope you love your four stroke when that first $1000 top end comes around. and it was a bit more than$1000 , cos i was/am in new zealand at the time i put 4 of the 5 valves through the piston head lol but its alsorted now (Y)

well the oil i was using was to thin it wasnt a heavy enough weight so it wasnt doing its job propperly and it was to slippery so thats how it happend mate , well so the yamaha mechanic said i never limitered my bike or anything and rode it a high rpm for long periods !

i'm now using yamalube and haven't had a single problem with my bike in 10 months now :)

not completely genious... kawi has already intorduced teh new 09 kx 65 through 100. they're just no more bigger bore 2 strokes being made in the us. im pretty sure you can get them everywhere else... because i know for a fact you can still get banshees in canda
