If you base drug abuse on the common people today, you forget the impact they had in the past. I, for one, do not do drugs. I'm not going to blindly hate them, however.

It's a shame Cynic dumped the female vox off their new album, they worked really, really well. I'm also a little disappointed they didn't do more atmospheric stuff along these lines.

@mehtabb1 Technically, Portal is not Cynic. Paul Masvidal has said in interviews he doesn't consider them the same. Part of the reason this was never released was because they were still bound to their label, who wanted them to release it under the Cynic name (and the band refused). I agree that it would be great to hear some more stuff in this style though!
