Me and my parents drove through there and at first it was weird because no restraunts no people or no nothing but we saw a farmer some cows and 1 antelope but I could just hardly sleep with none people their and listen to someone singing about the badlands in my dream

To me, the land near the White River in South Dakota is the most peaceful and wonderful place on the planet. I hope to visit there again, really soon. Thx for the comment:)

you are correct, it is the white river...the Cheyenne is up closer to Wall drug lol.
