  • EXCELLENT, Michael. You got me with #5. I thought short sale or foreclosure ended the misery one way or another. Guess I was wrong. How often banks going after deficiency? Good stuff. Keep helping people.

  • @lagertyj7349 I'll jump in on this one. If you own property in Florida, deficiency debt can lie around for up to 5 years before a debt collector sues for judgment. Then, debt collector has up to 20 years to go after collection. By then, they believe you've recovered financially and can pay them off for the debt they bought for pennies. This is serious....
