  • What a stupid video.

Disgracing a perfectly good Teresa Teng song.

  • i hate TLE subject I LOVE MANDARIN CLASS : )

  • Hi I really Love this song and your voice reminde my love thank you so much for your song keep working, good luck

  • English version? Nah, the beauty of this chinese mandarin song would be lost if sung in any other language. The success, universal appeal and popularity of this song owes very much to this renowned accomplished chinese lady singer with the most sweetest beautiful voice for singing. She is not jus great , she is the greatest !

  • great song! but have any one sing this song in english yet?

  • the best song forever

  • love this

  • この曲聴くと涙がでます。

  • great song i love this song so much

  • my most favorite mandarin old song.....i started singing this when i was in Taiwan.....only the intro ;-P

  • i love this tune.. brings back childhood memories

  • I love all the pix......

  • I would really like to know: when was this song first written/composed? Was it specifically written for Ms Teng? Or is it an older song?

  • @MarcellusTheGreen : This song was written for her only, and it's around 76-79 i think ...

And since then, this song is remake to many version in many kind of languages ...

  • @Acekilla77 Thank you for that information. I was curious about it.

  • @Acekilla77

Actually the original singer is Chen Fen Lan , also from Taiwan who recorded the song in 1973. However, it is Teresa Teng's remake of the song which make it really famous. That is why the song is associated with Teresa rather than Ms Chen.

  • @Acekilla77 : well hear a lot of variation ... some other said that this song was actually from indonesia when miss teresa live in indonesia back then, when she move back to her country she wrote couples of her songs to mandarin version ... but don't know which one the truth, but still this is the greatest song of all time ... :)

  • @Acekilla77

the composer is a Taiwanese chinese guy from her own country. He was interviewed about his song and he was full of praise of TT singing . There was a u-tube posting of this interview that I came across quite sometime ago.

  • この曲を聴くと涙がとまりません・・・

  • Thank you for the english translation. Finally I could really understand the meaning of it. Thank you again... This song will never die..

  • in the part where the moon represent my heart

i think its a half moon

    its bit but sharp :|

i just kinda thought thats what the lyrics writer thought when writing that song

  • best version ever heard :|

  • I think「我愛你有幾分」can be translated to 'to what extend do I love you'.

together with the first sentence 「你問我愛你有多深﹐我愛你有幾分」becomes 'You asked me how deep do I love you, to what extend do I love you'.

  • this is so beautiful and I could listen to it day and night. Thank you for sharing.

  • 《月亮代表我的心》,

    唱功最佳邓丽君,

    歌声柔美诉衷情,

    真爱一生感神明。

  • tớ thích chị ấy, nhưng hình như dạo nài người ta thấy mấy tấm ảnh chị ấy ở bãi biển mất hình tượng cũ!

  • tớ thích chị ấy, nhưng hình như dạo nài người ta thấy mấy tấm ảnh chị ấy ở bãi biển mất hình tượng cũ!

  • Beautiful Lady with a Heavenly voice.

  • Her talent and beautiy was unsurpassed

  • You feel with your heart...

    You see with your eyes...

The month will represent just like my heart...

  • You asked... how deeply that i love you... And how great is my love to you... I'm saying, my affection is real... My love is also true... The moon will represent just like my heart... My affection to you does not waver... And my love does not change... The moon will represent just like my heart... A soft gentle kiss has gently touched my heart... A great deep love that forever stays in my memory...

  • I used to listen to this song when I was a little kid. :D

I've been looking for this for forever. Woohoo~ c:

  • this is the first song i learned to sing in Mandarin, it has meaning to my loved ones. i will sing at all places i go to.

  • where Chinese live you can heard Teresa's Song. You are Queen of Asia

  • I love this song and Teresa so much! Please check out my video... I sing this song. I am not Chinese, but I love Chinese culture and music... Happy New Year!!

  • There is some confusion about the translation 我爱你有几分. 几分 means how many cents. 我爱你有几分 means how many cents do I love u. Y is the lyrics not "how many dollars do I love u"? I think it is because 几分 rhymes with the previous line 多深

  • Thanks you for translate it in to english, i am not chiness but i love its songs. wo xiwang you yi tian wo hui zhang zhong wen khe, hehehehe

  • I not Chinese, nor do I understand Mandarin. Like they say music is a universal language. I think that, many times artist try to use words that have multiple meanings. Sometimes we have to ask them why they use certain words the way they do. It should be left for the audience to translate the art work in any way they want. That is how a piece of art become universal. That is also what keeps us wanting more.

  • its not i love you a bit

    its i love u a lot

  • Place the simplified lyrics on the details please :o

  • I just don't like the pictures. They don't go well with the lyric.

  • this is like..THE best song the THE worest fucking translation ever

  • this song is soooo beautiful! thanks!

  • Not a bad translation, however the line 我爱你有几分,"wo ai ni you ji fen" is a question . lit: I love you how many portions?

  • Actually I think "wo ai ni you ji fen" literally translates to "how many points do I love you".

  • I think 我爱你有几分 a reply to 你问我爱你有多深.

  • Excellent.! If u have more of her nice sentimental songs plse upload more.Appreciate.kenni

  • You asked me how

    Deep my love is

    Whether it'll ever cease

    Deeper than the Earth

    Longer than too soon

My heart's fuller than the moon

Just trying to make rhyming, matching lyrics that also fit into the simplicity of the original.

  • wow ! i like your translation! its so romantic!

  • Thank you!

  • nice song...evergreen....

My feelings won't ebb, my love won't change... the moon reflects my heart.

Consider this, and look above. The moon represents my heart. Consider this, and look above. The moon represents my heart.
  • very good translation

  • Not bad in translating, but I think the true translation goes like this... 1: You ask how deeply I love you, and just how great my love is. My affection is real, and my love is true. The moon represents my heart. 2: You ask how deeply I love you, and just how great my love is. My affection does not waver and my love doesn't change. The moon represents my heart. (To be continued...)

  • The greatest and best known of all the songs sung by Teresa Teng. This song is the most played, most recognised and most admired song of all time. It has been sung by heads of states, celebreties, played at concerts and a must-have at all Chinese karoake sessions. Teresa Teng is as much synoymous with this song as Frank Sinatara is with My Way. An all time classic that will survive well beyond our generations and our grandchildren's generation. A song that indeed will live in eternity

  • Awesome! I totally love this song.

But I think my Grandma can sing better

    (I have my reasons).

How many % is my love

    my feelings will not waiver

    my love will not change

    The moon represents my heart

  • The lightest kiss was enough to move my heart

This deep deep love lingers on with a feeling of longing

  • you speack korean..maothekid?

  • I think it is vietnamese?

    What do you say maothekid?

  • It's Chinese! i kno cuz i'm chinese

  • I'm chinese too and it must be some dialect but mandarin...

  • lol yea he's speaking vietnamese. but the song playing is in chinese.

  • I think in the lyric "I love you a bit" should be translated as "I love you quite a bit".

  • or maybe.. "i love you a lot" because 'a bit' isn't much loving, lol.

  • The translation is inaccurate on some part of this song. "I love you bit", should of been translated " How much do I love you?" Plus it's translated in some part in improper english.

If you want it properly translated let me know.

  • oh my god my eye again full of tear this is my best song for teresa teng she is the queen of my hear and asia...

  • this is a meaningful song i love it.... wish someone will dedicate this one for me hehehehehe thanks for posting....

  • beautiful song and true meanning

  • 你问我爱你有多少?

    我爱你有习分

  • Sorry, I think the translation of the 1st line might b about right but the 2nd line looks wrong. I think "ni qu xiang yi xiang" would b more like "u go n have a think about it" and "ni qu kan yi kan" would b more like "u go n have a look". The rest looked about right though.

  • 'qu' needn't be translated literally, I think. In this context it expresses an exhortation

  • I think the translation would go like this:

U asked me how much I love u,

how much I really love u.

    My affection is real,

    my love is real.

    The moon represents my heart.

I think the translation 2 the 2nd line of lyrics is wrong which is "i love u a bit", that would b "wo yi dian ai ni" in Chinese, lol. Maybe the translation of the 1st 2 line of lyrics might b out but the rest of the translation looks about right. Nice song anyway.

  • ahhh love the song and lyric too..been looking everywhere..the last time i came upon this song is when i watched jerry yang's concert with the other f4.

  • beautiful song an beautiful words o touching
