  • To no one in particular,i'm seeing a lot of dumb comments.Madlib biting Dilla?Dilla idolized Pete Rock until he got his own.Dilla just loops a lot? Please!Go find what he chopped for Slum Village "hold tight" then say he loops!Y'all will never be better than whom you criticize if you do music. It's a sad state of affairs.Hopefully some of you bought the album.I did this morning.

  • DOPENESSS!!!!!!!!!!

  • Comment removed

  • the tune bangs me... dont wasting your time... just enjoy the swound...

  • only madlib can make that bassline

  • @Menefee22 The bass line came with the Sample

    Ace Spectrum - Trust Me

  • @bevo14burntorange true but its very soft, he must have recorded his own over the original.

  • This is real hip-hop, plain and simple.

  • You jacking beat ass niggas..Get your own sound again

  • @BLACKCARGORECORDS Are you stupid?

  • @1ANDONLYJPJ: Like I said..Madlib is the one who pushed the whole Dilla MAdlib connection by releasing Dilla's material without his permission..Are you stupid?

  • @BLACKCARGORECORDS Sorry i'm just a Madlib fanboy :]

  • @BLACKCARGORECORDS uh, Dilla's dead, and I think Dilla would've approved it anyways since Madlib & Oh No were still Master producers at the time

  • @GamerX89X: What is a master producer? A producer is a producer..A dope beat is a dope beat whether its your first beat or whatever. All this master talk hip hop is for the kids punks! It started on the street with old throwaway geart and you had to have knowledge of electronics not just push buttons..THAT AINT NO FUCKIN MASTER SON!!

  • Comment removed

  • @GamerX89X : Marley Marl started this producer sample shit on accident and before him maybe someone else and GrandMASTER Flash is a fuckin master..these button pushers have mastered the art of copy cat..they didNT PIONEER shit and nobody can claim this shit not even AFRICANS WHERE ALL THIS SHIT IS FROM IN THE FIRST PLACE..

  • @BLACKCARGORECORDS dude, even J Dilla had props on Madlib, yes, he may have taken a few samples, but even Madlib would've had to contact Dilla eventually. Dilla just came at him first. This was when they began working on the Jaylib CD (which is DOPE). Once J Dilla died, Madlib had to finish wat he started. This always happens, this is why you think that the "copy" technique has been mastered... It can never be mastered. Your blinded by the fact that there can be no copies of the authentic releas

  • @BLACKCARGORECORDS release unless the creator creates one just like it, but even that is hard to do. Another example would be MF Grimm and MF DOOM, yes, Grimm is the one that started it all, DOOM just took his concept and expanded on it, lyricism. J Dilla started a masterpiece. Madlib completed it, yet expanding on the concept... you see where I'm gettin at? its kinda hard to explain it in words because its something you must live through to truely understand. Compressing and expanding, not copy

  • @GamerX89X: The lonely stoner seems to free his mind at night. That's what I got to say.

  • @BLACKCARGORECORDS What I was trying to get to you was the point of evolution (my heads startin to click on now lol). You cannot take it far beyond perfection in one subject category... but if you were to take it to the next level, then you have progress. Dilla took Hip Hop to the next level, died, then entrusted Madlib to carry the torche.

  • @GamerX89X: I dont know about that whole carry the torch thing but some of this is marketing. Still he is a talented guy. I had the step on our ego's vinyl, homeliss derelix-cash money, "rap battles i saw emcees going at it" charizma & peanut butter wolf-methods, planet asia-definition of ill. I was in the east coast until 96 and then I was on Telegraph ave at the berkley Amoeba store and Rasputin ,Zebra records on Hate- Ashbury ..FROM 96-2000..Now I shop flea markets and thrift shops

  • @GamerX89X: I think I am a 33 year old bitter hip hop head man. I understand the concepts and laws of nature and the universe because thats what you are explaining. I hang out with Jesus, Buddah, Bodidharma, and my inner self, that who represent the one true God. That is what everyhting is about here in the musical world, didnt you know music is THE WORLD OF THE SHAMAN?

  • @BLACKCARGORECORDS QUAZIMOTO the BEST!! EAT AH DONUT BITCH!!

  • Madlib is a bitter..He jacked Dilla's whole shit man..come on..Stop btting you bitting sampling ass nigga

  • @BLACKCARGORECORDS actually thier styles are very different and complex. you obviously havent studied both ofthier styles hard enough. Medicen show 5 sounds nothing like dilla. sooo dirty so different. and dilla style is on another spectrum. need i remind you that madlib is also a jazz musician. what does that say about thier tastes? cmon man stop finding reasons to hateon niggas.

  • @AEROSOL2IGNKRUE: I'm just sayig for someone claiming to be such a jazz legend they sure do sample alot. Where is the music that they play on instruments then? Cause every track I hear is a sample, with them giving no credit to the original artist acting like they made that shit up! A M i THE ONLY ONE HERE OR IS THAT PLAGARISM AND FRAUD?

  • @BLACKCARGORECORDS well why not look up ynq or sound directions. all those instruments except horns are all played by him. and as for sampling. he doesnt have to mention squat thats why the label clears it up with the owner of the songs so the owner can have a pay cut. but ever heard of a cover? alot of what he does is mimick the sounds since the original sound is either too static filled or too scratchy.

  • @AEROSOL2IGNKRUE: Like I said cover songs...KARAOKE!!!!!!! It's cool I don't hate like that but my point is that this aint wu-tang, nas, biggie and it aint even close. This is elevator music. This aint even Tribe Called quest and you negroes is on here with a degree in riding-dick-ology!! Are you getting paid to study exactly how these niggas bite?

  • @AEROSOL2IGNKRUE : Like I said you are misinterpreting shit. It aint that deep but you got little fanatics running around like what this nigga is doing is so new and fresh..Nigga this aint fresh..It sounds like Maxwell, Dilla, D'angelo. So im saying ok lootpack was cool but that shit didnt move enough units or get enough ass so now we get this romantico shit but it aint even dilla!! Ita nigga that took Dillas style and put Doom over some putty tang ass beats!!!

  • Respond to this video... he didnt even sample the bass line he re did it. 2 completly differnt things.

and as for j dilla. alot of his songs are just loops straight ripped from the song. alot of people just sack him cuz he passed away but hes good n all but you cant just compare people to jdilla when you dont know the physics behind it all.

  • @AEROSOL2IGNKRUE: I sample too but I am not going to come out here and take credit for making a melody that I sampled and then mention nothing at all about the original artist at all..I mean come on man..Sampling a sanre is different than jacking an entire bass line..Whodini had original beats suckas!!!

  • For the real heads out there!!!!

  • @SOGKB You have to be black to understand the video

  • look up Albinism on wikipedia....i didnt know he ad a disease...

  • Damn...had this cd for ages and never seen this video. Sick message here...how the true 'art' has been used, abused and tossed to the curb from generation down to generation...to the point where today's youth no longer even recognizes or has interest in the original essence.

    Sadness indeed.
