Hello fellas: As an alternative to closing the blinds in the summer, I recommend using a survival blanket as a solar reflective film on the windows. Apply to clean windows by first spraying the window with water, put up the film, squeegee smooth. You'll still be able to see out and get some natural but it will reflect most of the radiant heat. One blanket can cover several smaller windows. Cha-Ching!

i love this vid . this ideas makes a lot of sense. i turn my water heater control to "warm" instead of "hot" to save my electric bill
