Hi, just curious, I hear many from Guam complain how bad it is there, but when they move to the USA mainland they want to move back to Guam.. I just wanted to get others thoughts on that and why do they move back to Guam and how is it better than the mainland USA and why do they move back?

Guam is a wonderful place, but it gets pummeled by some of the worst Typhoons ever and is quite possibly the Spider Capital of the world. I've heard it's home to more spiders per acre than anywhere else on Earth; some of which grow as large as 14 inches across! :( Sorry, but I'm too big a sissy to ever go to Guam.
@Quintapus Yes,Guam can get some pretty bad typhoons,but as long as you are inside a concrete home, you are just as safe as you would be in a hard blizzard(except, we aren't freezing our asses off).Instead of snow, we get lots of rain. Our power goes out, and sometimes we lose our water.It's just like every other natural disaster out there.
As for the spiders, I'd be more worried about the cockroaches.Sometimes, you just gotta experience things yourself, rather then reading and believing.

Why would I want to go on vacation only to lounge on a beach that has all the trees blown down and the sand stripped away with debris lying everywhere? Nation Geographic said that snakes ate all the birds that used to eat the spiders and so they proliferated. And 14in is gargantuan!

Because we ( Guam) appreciate and listen and play Hawaiian songs does not mean we are trying to "ACT" Hawaiian it just means we appreciate what it has to offer. i.e our local radio stations also play Reggae, Rap, Country, Pop, Rock etc...We have local music of our own and it is played on our local radio stations.
Guam is not the only location that throws the Hang Loose sign ie Shaka.
