One thing you forget when you say that people should make their own costume is that not all people have that kind of talent. I've never been good at stuff like sewing, for instance.
Cosplay sounds fun,geeky,weird...i have so many mixed feelings... It's fun if you do it with your friends and release your stress, but i hate really bad costumes
but no really i don't do that, I know our reality isn't that great but we are actually closer to our favorite characters then we think. and i get sad that people with true imagination don't see that... Anyway it doesn't matter if you do cosplay or not you still cool by me.
I cosplay all the time ^^ And yes I'm hardcore! I wear ALL parts of the costume >w< I even make my own costumes from time to time. I'm glad that you finally made this, I've been wondering if you cosplay or not (no, I'm not a stalker XP) I realized another good thing about cosplaying is that you get to be the character. I always wish that I lived in Naruto's world, so how do I do it? I cosplay and RP as Sakura haruno! Problem solved! XD
in the middle (not wimpy.....just not epic costumes) lolz ^^ (i have done an awesome Honey(ouran) cosplay ^^ (got like a billion hugz when i dressed as him ^^)

i go to conventions, also have a whole group of friends and we all cosplay together as characters.
i enjoy it a lot.
