It may not be an animation but I think its a fan game. Dont get me wrong its well done, but it just combines the two different games way to flawlessly to be a hack, in my opinion.

Woo! It took me probably 15 game overs but I beat airman as mario! I actually found jumping on him to be much more useful then even trying to use the fire flower, but your method works great as well apparently.
