Like someone said before, a lot of people don't understand it, and people tend to oppose new things they don't fully understand. Thank you for training your horse in a positive manner, and for educating others a well! :]
I love this! I just started with my horses and it is fun, positive and I'm sorry you have gotten any negative comments. Just goes to show someone is always going to find something to complain about!
Dont let those negative people stop your joyful gentle wonderful sharing of this technique. Please continue your valued work. And thank you thank you.
This is wonderful positive training....some people do not like it because they are so insecure they need to hang on to the "traditional method" of training. Try to open your mind and "step out of the box" for a change....you will definitely have a better relationship with your horse...and you may even put a little excitement in your boring, average life.. :-)
This video is so, so great. I'm new to clicker training and absolutely LOVE it. I always knew there had to be a better way than punishment or violence or annoying the horse into doing what you want... and now I found it! Proof that horses just want to please!! :) I'm so grateful I stumbled across this training method; I'm going to do nothing but this with my next mare (she's coming home in a little over a week). I can't wait to get started!! :D Thank you, thank you, thank you for your videos!
great videos! i have a morgan/arab mare who works great in the arena, but on the trail she basicaly takes off with me, how can i stop that with clicker training?
this is fantastic video. I've been clicker training my donkeys for awhile now. They love it. I can't believe people would be hostile about this method!
I think the most beautiful thing about a clicker trained horse (not a horse occasionally trained with a clicker, but truly a clicker trained horse) is the lack of tension and worry. It's universal with truly clicker trained horses. Puck shows the classic happiness of clicker. It's a beautiful thing. Once you have it with your horse, you don't want anything else.
I used to think a clicker was a joke... until I tried it. People who are negative just don't understand and some are against new, gentler methods. Keep up the good work!!!!
This is by far the neatest thing I have seen. I can't believe people would get hostile. Keep it up, you are setting a great example! Ignore the unhappy ignorant people who would put this down!
Thank you so much for the amazing videos! It's been so very helpful to refer to these videos when my young mare and I hit sticky spots. I love CT and the clarity and calmness it has brought to our relationship. Like haffyfan said, I think CT also makes better trainers out of us all.
It's terrible that people are sending you hostile emails; your horses are obviously very happy, healthy, and eager to work with you. They are lucky indeed to be yours. Please keep up the inspiring work!
I am also sorry you've received negative comments and perhaps if these negative folks gave it a try they'd change their minds. I clicker trained my mini and the results were amazing, in fact she passed her evaluation and is now a Registered Therapy Horse in the state of Massachusetts with Delta Society. Our success never would have become a reality without clicker training. We clickers know we're doing the right thing!
He's not talking about advanced moves, he's talking about an advanced stage of clicker training. This video is in response to what people had taken as over-rewarding one's horse.
I recommend you learn some humility, as your comment is laden with much of the self-righteous attitude I find suffocating an unfortunate number of those in the horse industry.
I do not understand human hostility to clicker training. We also use it and our horses love it -- they love being asked t think. We reduced trailer loading our 2 horses from 9 hours (we just spent a whole day) to less than a minute, with a clicker.
Love the calmess clicker training seems to create. Have only just really discovered it, despite years of training and it's working great with my young mare, but interestingly it's also really improving my aids, calmness and frame of mind when working with horses - I find I'm getting a lot less frustrated and taking my time more. Thanks for the video, will check out the others when I've got time.
i have been watching sevral of thes clicker traning vidos, and i have to say i am impressed. However; im not impressed with this "advanced training" I have worked with top trainers in my vinsinty (including natural horsemanship trainers).Any one of then can teach a horse to do this within minuets.Ground tiying and bridless/barback riding has been around for years and years, way beofre clicker training. For an advanced horse i would like to see more complacated monevers.

hi, i am so sorry that people would treat you in a hostile manner. i am sure they would be happier if you used abuse instead. i also love positive reinforcement, and have found that this has worked better for me than all my years of dressage training!!! i think what you are doing is beautiful, please keep it up!
This is incredible. Your mare is so well behaved! Hey, I have a rescue horse that hasn't responded to an incredible variety of training, even Parelli! I am beginning clicker training on him this week. We think he is about 14, have no history, and he is pretty poorly behaved. Any advice?
dont listen to the creul words of ignorant minds. too many trainers are too focused on negative reinforcement that they wouldnt know a good thing if it bit them on the hiney! you have a strong bond with your mare, and well, you do catch more flies with honey than vinager!
arent people jerks? how could they say that about you guys? you are doing great! keep up the great videos and tell those other hockey pucks to SHUT UP!! you are great!!
I'm glad to see that there are more videos out there of experienced people, teaching lessons, and posting them FOR FREE! Especially ones that work effectivly, and videos that show the results. I love that it's very "hands on" with the horse, and it builds trust and relationships. Great video's, keep them comming! Everyone is entitled to their own opinions; not many people agree with the training method I use [John & Josh Lyons]
fantastic work guys, what a good girl!! you have definetly got me using clicker training on my colt. He is leading, yielding to pressure and picking all his feet up nicely and is ready to see the farrier thanks to you!
Awesome! Really great job. Thank you so much for doing this tape. Clicker training is so relatively new to the horse world that we often see people training new behaviours rather than showing a more finished product.
I'm looking forward to more of your video's. Can't wait to see little Tempo again!
loved the video, Puck looks very content and happy to work with you. She has some lovely behaviors, thanks for sharing.

Thanks so much for posting all these helpful videos! Love your respect for your horse!
