Phila milked the horse as much as they could (no pun intended, lol). This same backing track was used on Cliff Nobles album as an instrumental

At the garage parties back in the 60's, everybody was "Bugaloo=ing down Broadway", "Funky Broadway". Or doing the horse, the camel walk, the four corners, the shing-a-ling and doing the "Thing".

Oh I have got one more comment. The music your listening too from the 60's was played in the studio by real musicians... not too sampled tracks as are done today. Listen to how tight that band is.. What a funky philly sound!

Hitch it to the horse was a great follow up to Boogaloo down Broadway! That music was groovin hard. For those who were listening to this back in the 60's they know! And for those who are being introduced to this now..... enjoy!
