@Mr1972mopar318 Hah, well I am a chevy guy but I've always liked the look of fox bodys, so why not make a nice hybrid? Those fox's are pretty light so an LS1 would shine in one. Guess it's just what you prefer... judging by your name your into old Mopar? I Love old Mopar, new Mopar is crap... I'd own an old Charger if I could afford it, but I'll settle for my modern F Body for now.

but ls1 and other ls's aint as fast as people think.little 5.0's keep up with themnd there way smaller.im not saying ls1 are slow.

but iv'e seen stock 5.0s with CAI and pullies beat them ive seen 4cyl v6 imports and 302 260 289 351's all different kinds beat them

@Mr1972mopar318 LS's are damn quick for what they are. The only thing I'd say that's holding them back is the car they're in. F Body's aren't the lightest cars unfortunately, as well as the 04 GTO. The LS1 C5's were pretty quick cars though. I read up in a magazine that they took a foxbody with a bone stock 5.0, added suspension mods, tires, weight reduction, and gears and were able to get it into the 11s. Foxbody's are a better platform, LS1 would be a much better powerplant for em hah.

@Mr1972mopar318 Cam is a different story, I've seen plenty of LS powered F Body's break into the 10s with a cam and a 6 speed. I was surprised they got a foxbody with a *completely untouched motor into the 11s.

mmmm, i don't know. it should run better than that. come off the line at a higher rpm. at least 3000 if you running a 150 shot, or you'll be putting to much strain on the motor coming at the gate at idle on the button, looks like it's to late. read the instructions. they give'em to you for a reason! that combo would see high 10's for sure.

347 strokers run 10-12 seconds on the quarter.

put a supercharger into a 347 stroker mustang and you will beat anything you want ;)

vtec is a joke, a 5.0 is much better. just as light, the 302 is completely buildable, and yes, cheaper and if you wanted to build a mustang for the track you could. a 302 would outlast a vtec anyday.
