  • OMG I CANNOT CHOOSE ANIMATION ASWELL WHATS WRONG WITH MY ADOBE!?

  • it doesnt say uicktime at mine?? what should i pick then??

  • Thank you very much! I just bought Adobe CS5.5 and this has helped ALOT! I rendered a 14 second vid with the 'for windows'(AVI) and it came out almost 2 Giga Bytes!

My Windows media Player can't even play it properly and keeps locking up. The vid was shot in low light and has some grain it it which is why (I assume) the file is SO large... I will try your method. Thanks again and keep up the great tutorials, you got a sub!

  • If I do gameplay and want to render my videos with After Effects it takes so long time. But whatever, great video! :) like from me

  • It is a good vid but I need to know how to bring everything together

  • mine just says "quicktime" instead of "quicktime movie" are those the same?

  • @BobombDom Yes

  • i use a camera that uses mini dv tapes. can i still choose animation? will the quality look different? all i want is hd when i upload videos to youtube

  • Very explanatory. Good job.

  • @GustavsRe Thank you sir!

  • dude you helped me so much thanks

  • @SWEwrestling Anytime!

  • THANKS - SORRY CAPS IS ON BECAUSE I'M RENDERING SOMETHING

  • Hi vinhson, whats the video format and codec used in this video? plz reply!

  • @Videoorchard MP4

  • Really nice video helped me alot :)

  • how do you put all the compositions in one PLACE.

  • @HammerFud Make one main comp and drag all the comps into the main comp, then align them together for proper sequencing (:

  • heyy, i'm tryin to render a 7 minute video and i wanna upload it to youtube but everytime it finishes rendering it's over 3 GB. i've followed the tutorial and everything but its not making any difference was wondering if you could help me out? also i need it to be preety decent quality?

  • everytime i render it i watch the video and it plays it back frame by frame super slow

  • @NTKANDALB It's because of the file is really huge and you don't have enough RAM or processing power to view it at full frame (especially Quicktime animation). If the video is the correct frame rate, things should play smoothly when you upload them.

  • @XVSProductions i got it to work

  • Cheers Mate, For showing us the right way to render.

  • @XVSProductions Please, can you help me?

I have After effects CS3, and I can't find the QuickTime codec, it's just not there, can you tell me if I'm doing something wrong or where can I download it?

    Sorry about my english :/

  • @HectorFaelisy Download the Quicktime player at apple's website

  • @XVSProductions Thank you, btw, great tutorial ;)

  • @OleTheKGameplay I believe it's your CPU. Larger videos don't play smoothly when you view them RAW because they're nearly 1GB or more. They're actually smooth, it's just your CPU & Graphics Card can't play them smoothly, not even mine can at 1920x1080

  • Thanks for this, helped me out.

  • thts fucked up man in vegas u render HD and u get the same quality without it being 7.53 gb but thx for the tut helped me allot

  • Hey, is it OK if you help me explain the settings for a VERY compressed version like one which is small for like a 10 second clip. Desperate thanks.

  • @ladyman97 Flash or WMV. I'd suggest compressing it in a video editor rather than AE though

  • thx great tutorial!!

  • you sound like randall :O

  • Hi, great Tutorial, I have a question: if I want to use AE with some HDV vids. ifs possible that th eprogram doest work very well with 2Gb of RAM? If I use AE with some mini Dv format itworks well, but with HDV format no.. The reason? I dont know

    Thanks in advance

  • @marianofly Hi, After Effects isn't really the problem, it's just because it takes a lot of render and preview HDV footage, especially since AE recommends AT LEAST 4GB RAM. DV Footage is so much smaller and doesn't take up resources to preview. Try upgrading your ram!

  • Hey thanks Vihnson, ive just started using AE, let alone vegas, and Have been trying to learn all i can, ive subbed you, and the only tut ive done is your particle orb one, but when i rendered it i didnt know all that you just told me in this vid, and when it came out, a 10 second, intro, was 1.02 gb! it took forever to put on my youtube to show someone what ive been learning lately. Thanks for everything bud. You and Andrew Kramer are my Faves!

  • wew! thank you so much... you really save my day..

  • Thanks so much:) xx

  • After rendering, I usually put my rendered project into Windows Movie Maker to add stuff, but with a quicktime movie it wont recognise it :/ what should i do?

  • @iiEdiiTzZv I suggest you use Adobe Media Encoder (free with AE) and convert the MOV to WMV or AVI. (: but why use WMM to add stuff, why not just add it in AE to reduce a step? :]

  • @iiEdiiTzZv

How do I change the output destination? Mine is always set to C:/Users/Username/Filename.type

If I want it to be on D:/Folder/Filename.type, what do I do? Hope you got that, kinda hard to explain :)

  • @pearl2k11 To change the output destination, click on the FILENAME next to "OUTPUT TO" and select your destination

  • @XVSProductions

    Hmm.. where is that ?

  • @pearl2k11 In the Render Queue, after when you click "Make Movie"

  • @XVSProductions

I cant change it, it only opens the destination :(

  • @XVSProductions

    Oh, thanks alot! :)

  • i dont have quicktime movie,, someone help (how do i get it) please!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @BrandonHDx Download Quicktime Player FREE on apple's website

  • Thank you so much :-)

  • Would you say 720 frames is alot to render?

  • Thanks man!

i don't make videos but i will start soon (as soon as i get myself a camera xD!! )

  • Do you have a tutorial on creating the scene in this video? Looks amazing!

  • @vocazone It's actually one of my VideoHive projects so no I don't have a tutorial unfortunately x)

  • @XVSProductions I've just been browsing your website and noticed that. No worries. Great work though. Subscribed and Bookmarked! :-)

  • @vocazone Thanks so much man, the site won't disappoint you in the future (:

  • WHEN I RENDER IT TAKES LIKE 4 HRS FOR A 1 MINUTE VID HELP?!

  • @IIxMattiexII It's suppose to take long, rendering is a designer's worse nightmare (: You reduce render time, try using a lower quality setting. (quality 90 will render faster than quality 100)

  • Thanks!! Your The Best

  • Great vid! Thanks man... you helped a lot

  • This is my first time seeing ur work and I give you much pop respect ur Tut is on point but may I ask do you have any Tuts on Maya, 3D Max, MudBox, or Cinema 4D?

    and what about Trapcode Particles?

  • @DaElected1 Thank you so much for the kind words! I have many tuts on Trapcode but none on the rest(:

  • This is my first time seeing ur work and I give you much pop respect ur Tut is on point but may I ask do you have any Tuts on Maya, 3D Max, MudBox, or Cinema 4D?

  • heh I used all of ur settings except for the compression type because when i did mine it was about 80mb for every second of the video

  • Very helpful! Thankyou!

  • @cebparkour Thank you sir!

  • Great

  • Nice video lad

  • why is my rendering settings in some random jibberish language?

  • @DiffusionMediaTV Most likely a corrupted installation or a pirated copy x)

  • Your intro is truly amazing, very good work at it :p

  • @DFeatedYou Thank you!

  • Thank you so much you just saved me 24 hours of rendering !!! FAV!

  • Very good explanation! Could u make a tutorial about how to make realistic particles using particular?

  • HELP! i made clip in vegas rendered it and add it to ae... i added twitch and i rendered the clip but its only 11 seconds of my 27 seconds Vegas clip is there field render or smth to get it full?

  • @iNTeLcss Edit the composition and change the Duration to 27 seconds instead of 11 (:

  • Great explanation!

  • @MetalStormProject Thank you sir (:

  • You Cracked After Effects RighT ?

  • @MrGamerXXL No

  • tò mò không biết hiện nay a đang làm việc ở đâu ah?thấy 1 số tác phẩm của anh ở videohive nữa.hix

  • what compression preset did you used for your videos like Cinematic Particles and Particle Orb? Animation or Photo- JPEG? thanks :)

  • @masuy2009 Animation at 100, but then I added audio using Vegas and rendered it as a WMV for low file size. If your animation is dark and has a black background, I recommend using Animation Preset so it won't be as pixelated near the colors and prevents ripples

  • @XVSProductions oh.. i see.. thanks.. :)

  • what version of after effects do you have?

  • @hellothereiamsomeone CS4, saving for CS5

  • for me, putting caps lock on makes it like 2 times faster

  • @PhoenixFireFx Yeah, it definitely saves me render time all the time, especially when you're out to eat and just leave the comp on to render (;

  • hey thx for the tutorial.. i really appreciate it. good stuff to know :)

  • @nucibus No problem, thanks for the comment man !

  • I have a problem in my rendering in after effects and in adobe premiere, only on videos from different cameras happens (not from animation produced on the program) that there are little jumps lots of times =(

  • @lessemo Probably a frame error, just make sure you have the right aspect ratio in AE/PR and frames per second that match your footage captured by your camera. Though having choppy renders with AE/PR is normal, everyone faces this horror :/

  • quicktime has beter quality than h264???

  • @SwayzeDre Quicktime and h.264 are like cousins, they're a branch of each other. They are generally the same when coming to quality but h.264 is quite unstable as a codec and drains some of the white balance.

  • When I click down the drop down box under "Format" I don't have as many options/Compression types as you do. It could mean that I don't have the codecs, would you mind posting a link to your codecs please? Please correct me if I'm mistaken if they're not codecs.

  • @georgekheiralla I would mean you do not have the codecs. The codec should be installed automatically when you install Quicktime Player. If you can render as .MOV, you should be able to render with different compressions.

  • oh yea quick question when I am editing in AE instead of Seconds it says f... Example 1:00f. What does that mean?

  • @EnlistedSpartan117 It means you're viewing the animation by FRAMES. Usually (29.976 frames per second) You can change the view by using the side scroll bar on the bottom of AE. If your comp is really short, it'll automatically go to FRAMES because there isn't that many seconds.

  • or you can jump to 5:00 and than hit the N key for changing the end of the video

  • uhm ,

when i render in AAE ,

the clip comes out with no sound at all.

is there something wrong with my AAE or is that normal ?

  • @iAmDylaan You have to enable sounds for your composition and enable "audio" in the render output. Though, most people bring their animations into a video editor to do sound design and scoring because AE doesn't have much control with audio.

  • Woo.. Thank you very much.. Actually this is my problem.. I use to render my project using "export" but I always end up with a veryyyy low quality..

  • @nerve00005 You're welcome, hopefully this method will work out better for you in terms of clear quality!

  • i do the render queue and quick time . works best for me. for getting the best quality... but good post man.. this will be a video i check out from time to time for some good tips... good post bro

  • @rkive612 Thank you sir, I intend on posting more tips like these in the near upcoming future (:

  • ahh.. very useful... I rendered a school video about 3 minutes long and it was 35 GB... lol

  • @Briglair lol how did you manage 35 GB..... LOL.. Was it shot in 1080 HD with 3D Effects??? Cant wrap my head around it.

  • @EnlistedSpartan117 It was probably 1080 HD with a bunch of depth of field and cc light burst :P

  • @XVSProductions hmmmm more than likely. By the way great tutorial and i love the new intro. Short, Simple, But Still Cool.

  • @Briglair Hope it was helpful! GIFs aren't the best quality first off, they're not intended to show quality, but you can make a great looking GIF by using exact dimensions (no scaling) and set the color to: 256+ colors if not more. The more colors, the less ripples and pixelation will occur.
