Wow! Reminds me of my dun filly. Dun IS a color, the difference is that Buckskins can not have a dorsal stripe or leg barring, and duns have to have dorsal stripe and leg barring. Trust me, my horse is a registered buckskin as a dun, so it's a true color.

To rrbph, dun is a color. They have the dorsal stripe and zebra stripes on their legs and their coat color is darker then a buckskin usually. from what i know but i am not an expert. :) Lovely horse.

actually..buckskins can have a stripe down their back too. (a true buckskin) for a dunn, its usually the stripes on their legs, or the color of their mane..(black or a dark brown...)

@tazzy207 there is two kinds of duns its either a red line back dun or a black line back dun:) you can tell the difference majorly if you were to see one in person i have a red line back dun and my neighbor has a black line back dun
