Lisonpril definitely helped me and the change was dramatic. However, I developed a cough that many do. I was switched to an ARB which has restored leg strength & some flexibility. I sleep propped up, I am less fatigued & get a good night's sleep. However, as you may know, I am getting screened for ccsvi. My MRI does have "stenosis" of the channel clearly written in the report. :)
@gphx Heya :) I am doing much better anyway. In all honesty, I think sleeping propped up & the medicine is helping. It is a 'treatment" but I am looking to have the "liberation" procedure & then continuing on that medicine to keep them open. I DO know i have "stenosis" it was reported on my intial MRI's but not investigated. My lesions seemed then to be "the most important" any stenosis was not discussed (but it was there). :) Keep in touch.
@gphx in my spine but it mentions "the channel" and the right hand side. I am certain when I am scanned, hopefully may or june it will show it in the neck as well. the lesions on the MRI are right where jungulars drain, two places . . and it shows right side is more affected than left which coincides with my disabilities. I am going to georgetown on May 6th. I am not sure exactly when the scans will be done but I will get them done to be sure. Are you able to get lisinopril? :)
@donotconcede My appointments have progressed very slowly because of lack of insurance, next one is at the end of this month. Lisinopril is one thing I hope to have addressed. I need to make a list of points I want covered. My MRI also showed spinal stenosis, on the left side in my case but my symptoms are either uniform or on the right side with the exception of a facial tremor. If stenosis isn't a cause perhaps it is a symptom.
@gphx I sent you a regular message. Mine says something about "stenosis of the channel". I am not sure if I am looking at my neck on the Xray MRI thing. but i do see a darkened area where there is a white line which i think is where fluid is. the gadolineum . .or whatever dye was injected. Anyway I sent regular youtube message. :)

I too have been a bit unsettled by the 'heatedness' that some people seem to invest in the CCSVI issue. But that's just human nature, eh?
I hear what you are saying Darrin. For me I have opportunity for treatment for constricted veins. It would be great if we could have all these theories you talk about tested. I always get suspicious about tests on induced MS on mice; we are not rodents and it seems too contrived - surely they could miss the vital element as they don't know for sure how we 'get' MS! I am concerned too about the roller coaster of emotion, will deal with the truth of it soon enough and I hope it's good news! Kez

Stenosis of the spine or of the vein? Mine says stenosis of the spine but I doubt they checked the jugular in the mri department.

Thankfully lots of their energy is being channeled in useful directions. We need all kinds. I hope their faith is rewarded. Thanks for stopping by.

Agreed Kezz. We are not rodents. Caution in all things.

I found this very interesting. I think the main thing that we should all be thankful for is that there is now a new way of looking at MS.
All these new things like CCSVI or Lisinopril are showing possible causes of MS and it may not be just an autoimune disease.
We are excited because new things are being found and looked at, so no longer the status quo so to speak.
There seem to be a veinous connection some how and that is a whole new avenue to explore.
Great info,
Andrea
