I like his voice and music... but there's always such a mismatch with his image. It seems to me he either ought to take off his hipster glasses and earrings and go straight up Appalachian authentic, or else own the mismatch and go ironic like Beck. As it is, it's like he's trying for authenticity, but not coming anywhere near making it.
